Currently seeing 788, myself. Probably a matter of hidden sections adding up to more, hrm? Clan members, and such.

It all depends what forum sections you have access to. It'll influence your thread count. Another thing that influences the thread count is the moderation. Any threads that were created and then merged into other threads or deleted remain in that count. There are approx 60 like that. But pretty much, like Orion said, t=1000 is the running count. This IS the 1000th thread!
