Outperform it?.... i think you mean "have a higher top speed".... not really the same thing.

The Veyron wasn't made to be beautiful. Best looking car IMO is the Alfa Romeo 8c but it's performance isn't very good.

IMO the best car as far as looks/performance go is the Pagani Zonda

Negative, quite a few cars outperform it. Just because it produces 1001HP and it has the biggest engine a production car ever had or that it can sustain 250+mph speeds, does not make it the ultimate performance car. It's a technological achievement, plain and simple. Even if the numbers in most categories of performance are favoring the Veyron, it remains on paper; in real life, things tend to be a little funky.

1001hp is powerful, but lots of people have achieved that in the past with far less displacement and far less pistons as well. (see: Triple Crown Supra, for example)

It's too heavy, too restricted (for a reason) and costs way too much to maintain. This is not the kind of car you bring to your weekly track meet.

The Veyron is a yardstick, everyone will use it as a reference, and some will outperform without looking like a total douche.
