soo news on the block yesterday was all three superstars (LBJ, D-wade & bosh) were heading to MIA next year

cant wait to hear what news comes today.

my dream is that all three of them or four(Stoudemire) go to a shit team like Charlotte (MJ is in change now:))), Chicago (needs help in many ways:rolleyes:), New Jersey (going to be Brooklyn soon:cool:) i cant see any west team picking them up as the west is a powerhouse atm :(
and Nowitzki looks like he is not going to resign with the Mavs this year:eek:

or maybe a HUGH deal with John wall, now im dreamin:lol:

also i hope this year is better for some teams as there Allstar players have been hurt sense getting drafted it seems =/ Greg Oden, Blake Griffin both havent play a whole lot of games
and my man Hasheem Thabeet better get his ass into the gym this off season BOY your a big man SCORE!!!! you dont belong in the NBA D-league son!

I read two different articles on Yahoo about LBJ. Both we saying that he will not stay in Cleveland, but one said it was a "done" deal with LBJ going this Chi-town and the other said it was a "done" deal that he was going to be in NYC. Either way, i hope LBJ stays purely for the sake of the game. As great as the LA-Boston finals was, it's bad for the league to have three or four power houses and the rest are left with scraps.

Dirk is a freaking rock, maybe if he leaves it'll shake up the rest of the roster to produce. I understand he's a great player, but i can't help but think that he's part of the "problem" Dallas has. I always felt that Dirk can do too much in a game, taking opportunities away from his teammates, which in turn drags the team down.

That is a bunch of nonsense

Dirk is such a difficult player to defend against that he draws defenders towards him when he has the ball and forces them to make mistakes and this opens things up for the other players. He is 7ft.+ which allows him to pass the ball to teamates over defenders (which he does all the time) He's always creating opprotunities for teamates to score

He practically averages a double double a game, he's almost guaranteed to get 20 to 30 points every game, his free throw percentage is near perfect, he can shoot from anywhere, not to mention he is also the locker room leader

I don't think any team wants to lose a player like that

I mean, its not like anyone claims that the Cavaliers would be better off without Lebron, the Lakers would be better off without Kobe, the Magic would be better off without Dwight Howard or the Heat would be better off without Dwayne Wade. There aren't alot of players available who can lead a team to multiple 50 win seasons

now LBJ and Dwade go to the same team =))

Yoshio
July 5th, 2010, 02:21 PM
The only way they will be on the same team is if they both go to different teams

The Cavaliers can't afford them both and LBJ doesn't want to be known as the guy who needed to run to Dwayne to get a ring

Wade will either stick with Miami or go to Chicago, and right now it looks like Bosh is gonna be wherever Wade is going

I really think Lebron is going to stay with the Cavs

Amare will probably go to the Knicks

I don't think Lebron and Wade being on the same team is very likely. I see Wade and Bosh being on the same team though

It was not immediately clear whether Bosh will sign with Miami outright or join the Heat through a sign-and-trade deal. Bosh could earn $125 million over six years via sign-and-trade, but only $96 million over five without it.

they will get over it.... some time.....

I really doubt this

He has a horrible playoff series against Boston, he keeps the city wondering whether or not the team will stay, a coach and GM are fired in an attempt to get him to stay, but then he leaves the team for a team in a "glitzier" city, that already has two superstars signed, and that already has a championship, and he does this in a 1 hour special which basically forced the Cleavland fans to tune in and have thier hearts ripped out of thier chest, oh and he's taking less money then what he'd get for the Cavaliers

I don't think they'll ever get over this, and I think LBJ has cost himself having the Cavaliers retiring his number. (fans of teams that have never won are very bitter, just look at how Utah fans continue to treat Derek Fisher for leaving for the Lakers, and he did it very quietly, instead of purposefully trying to call attention to his free agency and his decision for more than a year)

marvel
July 9th, 2010, 07:29 PM
I don't know why people are bashing Lebron for leaving. He stayed in Cleveland 7 years and didn't have a decent teammate the whole time. (please don't mention Shaq guys). Being MVP two years in a row and no championship ring, he was surely fed up. On the down side, Cleveland will suffer dearly in his absence, not just the team, the whole town. LBJ was a business in Cleveland.

The deal, which has been in the works since September, also involves the Detroit Pistons. The three-team trade would see Anthony and Chauncey Billups go to the Nets, along with Pistons guard Richard Hamilton.

In return the Nuggets would receive Devin Harris, Anthony Morrow, and Derrick Favors from the Nets, along with two first-round draft picks.

The Pistons would receive Troy Murphy, and Johan Petro from the Nets. The real incentive for the Pistons would be to unload Hamilton's $25 million remaining on his contract.

Several other players with small contracts would be involved to maintain each team's salary-cap.

The Nets require Anthony to complete a contract extension with the Nuggets before completing the deal. With an extended contract the Nets are assured that Anthony will remain in New Jersey.

cant wait to hear this trade happen then next year Melo taking his talents to the big apple just in time for the nets to take over BROOKLYN!!!!!

They got lucky, the Heat won't settle for jumpshots anymore in the last 2 mins of the game.

Don't get me wrong, i'm cheering for Dallas, i just don't think they can consistently beat the Heat.

Truth is that Miami got cold at the end of the game. Had one of the two LBJ 3's dropped, it would have been game over. As a Dallas supporter, it's not a comfortable place to be.

how the heat will respond is a question mark. This happened to OKC and they responded great the next couple of games and gave us alot of trouble but we managed to win anyway This happened to LA and they responded poorly the next game and got buried.

how will Miami respond? Who knows, but I've been watching Dallas for a long time and they will play at a very high level now that they grab a win like that with 3 straight home games coming up. If Miami responds poorly like LA did it's over. If they respond beautifully and play great like Oklahoma did we might still win

it's a good place to be when you aren't wondering what level your team will play next game and instead the question mark is on the other team

and i just don't see dallas dropping 2 games at home now that they look like they basically figured out how to rebound against that team. That is what needs to happen for Miami to avoid losing in 5, or coming home down 3-2

we aren't down 0-1, we aren't down 0-2. It is 1-1 with 3 home games in a row coming up I really don't see why i am supposed to be nervous at all, especially since Dallas was able to solve it's rebound problems and the only reason that game had to be a comeback was because dalls turned the ball over 20+ times which is something that just plain won't happen again

there is a chance to put this team away completely when before game 2 there really wasn't, so i feel pretty good

Go go Dallas.

And as much as Miami did completely break down in the 4th, Dallas fed them turnovers in the 3rd. You could say that Dallas got lucky, and in a point they did, but they showed what they're made of by battling back and taking Game 2., and it's not the first time these playoffs they've overcome late-game double digit deficits. It shows that they have the character, determination, resilience, and hunger to win. It's something I really haven't seen in a Mavs team for several years, they could've had it in 2006, but after winning the first two they just seemed to not have the same intensity for the rest of the series.

I absolutely LOVE how every time Bosh gets touched he acts as if he was hit by a tank. And it's (rightfully) not getting called.

You cannot compare one series to another. This is the Heat we're talking about.

If Miami responds poorly like LA did it's over. If they respond beautifully and play great like Oklahoma did we might still win

Again, can't compare one series to another. It's a little late now, but they did exactly what i thought they'd do, not settle for shots. They had 12 of their first 15-16 points in the paint and it kept going this way.

it's a good place to be when you aren't wondering what level your team will play next game and instead the question mark is on the other team
I cannot disagree more. 138 out 144 mins the Mavs were outplayed.

and i just don't see dallas dropping 2 games at home now that they look like they basically figured out how to rebound against that team. That is what needs to happen for Miami to avoid losing in 5, or coming home down 3-2

Considering how this series has been, rebounding is not their utmost concern, offensive consistency is. What i fear most is Dallas falling in love with the shot, always trying to hit the difficult, yet dagger-like, shots and missing. J. Terry is hard to stop when he's going to the rim, yet he'll stop on a dime 18 ft away and take the shot with nobody around to rebound. Too often i find myself screaming at the TV for them to stop shooting.

we aren't down 0-1, we aren't down 0-2. It is 1-1 with 3 home games in a row coming up I really don't see why i am supposed to be nervous at all, especially since Dallas was able to solve it's rebound problems

Have you been watching the same games as i did? Dallas ALWAYS had to play catch-up. You cannot and will not win a series, let alone the finals, playing catch-up.

and the only reason that game had to be a comeback was because dalls turned the ball over 20+ times which is something that just plain won't happen again

I understand where you're coming from, however, this is what a swarming Miami defense does to you, unforced errors. Although uncharacteristic for the Mavs to turnover the ball that much, i think it's just going to be one of those uncharacteristic series for them. If they cannot adjust and adapt, they are screwed.

there is a chance to put this team away completely when before game 2 there really wasn't, so i feel pretty good

Bite your tongue young man :)

A little bit of stats, Dallas led a total of 6 seconds in all three 4th quarters so far this series. Led 6 seconds out of 36 mins. And you tell me you are not nervous? I admire your optimism.

Just imagine what the series would be like if the Mavs had Caron Butler back. While yes the Mavs have been playing catchup the entire series, the series is still tied 2-2 and that's what ultimately matters. It doesn't matter if you lead the whole game if you can't close in for the kill, and that's what Miami's been doing.

While it does make me nervous, I'm loving how close the series is. Dirk has finally become the fucking beast that everyone knew he could become, and Wade is putting on a show too.

had no internet so i couldn't respond with defiant optimism after game 3 loss

still feeling very confident. My biggest worry after the game 3 loss was Brendan Haywood's injury. Haywood was just kicking Bosh's ass 1 on 1 and without him in in game 3 Bosh scored decently enough to make miami very hard for dallas to guard.

game 4 proves they can beat this team without haywood, though them winning might have more to do with Carlisle's adjustments then anything.

series has been great. I think both teams are playing at champion level. It's not often we get 2 teams that so clearly deserve it

i've had a hard time explaining why i had so much confidence after game 2, but this game demonstrated perfectly why i felt so good about dallas's chances

game 2 i saw miami fall apart, dallas demonstrated all through the finals and in this game that they will not fall apart. I'm not saying Miami can't win if dallas is leading in the 4th but you can see this game, and game 4, and even game 3 when miami did manage to win how dallas was able to keep getting good stops, and bounce back and get thier offense working despite miami's runs. Miami has demonstrated multiple times that it is possible to make them fall apart both at the end of the game and at certain points earlier. Dallas has not once done that since the 4th quarter of game 1.

even if miami is more talented it is hard to ever count out a team that keeps showing that they simply will not be forced to go away completely.

This has a great series from both teams, It's not over but regardless of what happens next i am very grateful for Dallas's "never ever give up" attitude

i'd like to laugh at miami because i truly hated them before this series started.

but after game 4 i was forced to realize that i stopped hating them and actually was forced to respect them because they played dallas extremely well this series and they did it in ways i didn't expect (role players were surprisingly good, swarming defense that was one of the most amazing i've seen, and they kept fighting when i was hoping for and certain that they would disappear)

but this year it was dallas's time and dallas played just a little bit better, when all is said and done this was a very very very close series

honestly, miami is a great team, they deserved to win based on thier effort just like dallas did, and they will win the championship someday and i actually hope they do (well i hope they do as long as they aren't playing dallas! heh heh)

I loved Lebron's reference to everybody else's crappy lives. We all still have to wake up today with the same personal problems and he is still living the dream, right Lebron? He assumes too much. Seems like he still hasn't learned that money cannot buy happiness, or a title (except the yankees). We all know as a professional athlete, his success will only be measured by his accomplishments on and off the court. Instead of owning his failures and shortcomings, he has started pointing the finger at opposing fans. This has got to be a first. Its wrong to blame your teammates, coach or owner but at least its normal. This guy has lost it. His attitude and words after the game really reflect his maturity. I wonder how long it will be before he starts crappin on miami.
