Situation: I need to find a card that is preferably PCI express, to put into a computer that only has 2 hardrives (both identical) so that I can make RAID 1 and it must be bootable and support Windows XP home.
Can it be done? Can it cost under 100$ for the card? What am I looking for?
Experts, I need your help!
Thanks.

You sure your motherboard doesn't already support RAID?
If not, quick checking computer store site:

It's not for me, it's for my parent's computer.
And yes, the MB does support raid, but it's software (NVidia MB). That doesn't work. It needs to be Hardware RAID in order to have RAID Level 1 with Windows XP.
The only card found so far is a Highpoint that costs 160$ plus shipping and taxes.
