Probes was one of my favorite guys in the NHL...completely changed the tone of a game just by stepping on the ice.

Over the past few years he's played in the Baycrest Alzhimer Research Pro-am. The way it works, the teams get their draft position based on how much money they raise then get to draft a pro to play on their team. Two years ago my dads team picked probert 10th after guys like gilmour, anderson, sittler and clark. Apparently he instantly became one of the boys. My dad being the only guy on the team that doesn't drink became the DD over the entire weekend which included him driving BP to and from his hotel for the entire weekend.

Probert became pretty good friends with a couple of the guys, inviting them out on his boat when he was in the area and making appearances at the teams couple golf tournaments the team holds each year.

This years tournament, they managed to raise enough money for the 3rd draft pick and proceeded to pick Probert again in front of Hall of famers like Glen Anderson, Guy Lafleur and Borje Salming.

He may of had some issues back in the day both on and off the ice...but he was certainly a class act over the past few.

Not so. I think it's sad that he's gone, and he was definitely an entertaining and intriguing character, but I'm not going to pretend he was a goody-two-shoes.

He was evil? Sounds like he was a dick that made some bad choices. I reserve hell for people who put kittens in ovens, but that's just me.
