For those that don't know what Rez is talking about, for about 5 minutes this forum was flooded with all the latest news items from Steam lol. It's fixed now and will only display the latest news items.

will this prevent it from popping up after everytime i close CSS? cuase if not im not satisfied... it has to be the most annoying feature with the exception of steam updating itslef after i close CSS and then starting up CSS when the update is complete... friggen idiots

Lol I like seeing what new stuff they are coming out with (and the prices).
For peeps like Wise - you can turn off steam's messages by going to:
View -> Settings -> Messages Tab and unchecking "upcoming and new releases"

I can edit the RSS feed so it doesn't a scan for keywords such as "source" and "team fortress" so we don't get all the other junk. What do you guys think?
