I really don't want to go downtown if I don't have to. Something in the Yonge and Steeles area would be IDEAL!! The subway goes up to finch and if we did something in that area it would be sweet. Everyone can get up to finch, I would think. That way anyone coming from the east/west direction (derf) can get on the highway and avoid the DVP (IT'S A TRAP), and get off the highway and meet in the same area.

Sneaky Dee's sounds good but, ughh, I am in Keswick with my family and it's a pain in the ass in terms of distance, especially if I can't get a car.

sneaky D's is relatively close to where i live. A month ago i would have suggested somewhere at younge and steeles but i just moved downtown more. What is way up there though all i can remember is the one mall and chinese/asian food restaurants.

My problem for transport is not in the city, it's north of the city. I can get down to college and Bathurst without any problem, it's getting back that's going to be the bitch. Disregard my suggestion earlier, I will be down to Stinky D's for 5:30.

If someone is able and willing to give me a ride to Finch station afterwards, that would be much appreciated. Regardless, this should be fun!

Sneaky D's is a total dive. Actually that's the concert venue part. Not an ideal choice for a quiet evening out. I could come down there later around 7pm, since I live uptown. But since Spider first suggested the north end of the city, could I recommend a place uptown?

The food is good, the service is usually good, and there's space inside or outside. They have a wing special on Monday nights if I'm not mistaken.

That's a quiet place. It's a hit with the retirees who live at the Clark retirement condo. I wasn't aware that we were taking our grandmothers out for dinner. The only thing it has going for me is that it's ridiculously close to where I live.

I think most of NR lives closer to uptown than downtown. A Yonge and Steeles area wouldn't be too bad, except most things north of Yonge and Sheppard is almost entirely Asian.

There are a couple pub-ish places at Yonge and Sheppard (3 major streets away). There are about 3 pubs I can think of and a Boston Pizza.
