November LAN! (Battle Royale)

So once again this year Carleton U and Ottawa U are organizing their yearly LAN that we enjoy every year. Last year, we were a good group of people from our community and i'm hoping that this year will be no exception.

So for those in Toronto who want to go but want a ride, why not split the cost of a van rental? Rental for Friday to Monday would be $350 (less if the renter has their own insurance) and for 6 people that's only $60 for the whole weekend. That plus gas and food and your lan fee and that's it for the whole weekend.

Early registrants will receive early access to our Ventrilo server as well as choice seating. All of which will be accessible through our new Gamer Community which is only accessible to those who register for Battle Royale IV.

I'm probably not coming to this one as there's only one game I have installed that I can participate in and I'm not willing to make space for other games on my HD at the moment.

I would probably go if there were tickets available. However, the way the site is being run is pretty much a clear indication to me that they really don't give a shit how their LAN is run, and as such is why I was delaying to pretty much get an at-the-door ticket. Not having things like a player count or forums available to people on the fence about going is just such a stupid concept :/

Step 1: Remember past Battle Royale's with plenty of seats available at lan
Step 2: Remember how well ETS organizes LANs of 800 people
Step 3: Remember how BR only has 10 "early bird" tickets, be disgusted by this practice <--- This has always really annoyed me.
Step 4: Remember how there used to be a counter and a forum available for planning, be disgusted by the fact that they removed this.
Step 5: Remember having to run our own tournament servers, be disgusted by the lack of organization.
Step 6: Disgust overwhelms desire to attend LAN.

I'd still like to give it a go, but I guess if it really did fill up this time it's my fault for waiting.
