Being from the Berlin (aka Kitchener) area, I naturally love Oktoberfest. Beau's brewery is holding an Oktoberfest for Ottawa near their HQ in Verkleek Hills on october 2
For $25 you get admission, a beer, an oktoberfest hat and bus travel there and back from ottawa. Also they are serving lots of beer, which much of you like.
For Montreal folk, I think this is only an hour away or something, so give it a look
I think I've talked to many of you about it, but I wanted to be a little more organized than just random fb posts

Beau’s All Natural Brewing Company’s second Oktoberfest (http://www.beaus.ca/oktoberfest), taking place October 2nd and 3rd at the Vankleek Hill Fairgrounds, is writing an entire lecture on the subject [of how to have fun]. After a very successful, if more modest, event in 2009, organizer Steve Beauchesne and his crew have decided to take outdoors beer drinking in the fall to the next level.
“Yeah, we’ve kinda gone overboard… First, you get more stuff for your ticket, like a free glass o’ beer and a free pretzel. Then there’s way more beer on offering from us, 5 different kinds to be exact. Plus we’ve got barVolo putting on a cask festival inside of our festival and beer expert, Mirella Amato, will be doing specialized beer tastings. Also new this year is the nightly entertainment lineup on the main stage that’ll feature some great bands like Luther Wright & the Wrongs and Drag the River… We’ve upped the ante so much, we can’t even see the ante anymore!”
Oktoberfest at Beau’s is really shaping up to be the event this fall, with a Sauerkraut Competition, Oompah Music, a Sausage Eating Contest, a Petting Zoo, German Dancing… and who could forget all that play dough (ostensibly part of the kids programming, but we’ll see about that). In order to ensure enough food, one of the major hiccups of last year’s event, there will be twice as many regional restaurants on the scene to serve Bavarian-inspired foods, including Ottawa’s Murray Street Kitchen, Domus Cafe, Absinthe, Juniper Kitchen & Wine Bar, the Piggy Market and Pascale’s Ice Cream. And of course, there will be beer.
“Our brewmaster, Matt, has brewed an ancient German beer style known as Gose, which is a wheat beer brewed with coriander and coarse salt and really unique. Chris has brewed a bohemian pilsner using freshly picked, locally grown hops and Kevin has brewed a high strength DunkelWeisse (Dark Wheat beer) that he is calling a dunkelweissebock.”
Music is another important addition to this year’s festivities, and each day of the festival will feature 3 bands from 6 to 9pm. According to Steve, “seeing Drag The River playing in Vankleek Hill just seems so improbable that it’s gotta be what has me most excited.”
Tickets are $15 for one day, $22 for both. For $25 you can get both a ticket and a ride on the Beau’s bus, which will leave Ottawa by Perkins Restaurant (1130 St. Laurent Blvd at Coventry) continually between 10am and 1pm and return between 6pm and 10pm. Ottawans who choose to stay over can either camp on site or stay at a B&B. In Ottawa, tickets can be purchased at any Bridgehead Coffee shop, the Piggy Market (400 Winston Ave.) or The Arrow & Loon (Corner of Bank and Fifth Ave).

+9001 to this, Beau's is awesome, and if you don't drink it you're not cool like KT.

You mean Vankleek hill? Thats about an hour and 15 min from ottawa by the 417 east. I'm guessing its about the same for Montrealers. (but west on 417) Not much to do there except for the fair and oktoberfest. Farmland and stuff. lol

If it's done at 9pm, it's not a "party".

Was such a good event. I did not dress warm enough, but mindwarp kept me warm enough.
Was a very good value too

Was cold, but fun! Beer wasn't to my preference, but I had fun anyways!
Sadly, I'm now considering playing WoW when Cataclysm comes out.
