I worry about how these excited arbourists will deal with the debate between their favourite deciduous trees, and the far more reliable evergreen trees that will eventually crowd them out as the winter comes as happens every year.

You dont really see the cut in the picture when he's carried out. Anyways, Toronto suck on defense once again. The last few games, opposing goalies makes them lose, which is good for the other team. The point is that Crosby has either assisted or scored on 35 goals in that span. That is, he's been involved in the scoring of 35 goals in the last 17 games. While the Leafs, as a team, have only been involved in the scoring of 36 goals in that same span.

Leaf fans were cheering for the leafs, sens fans were cheering against the leafs, you dont really hear go sens go even if the game was tied. We're talking about something where you can literally change your mind and be on the winning side whenever you want. I have contributed absolutely nothing to either team's success or failure. During the playoffs when I can actually see their games on TV I'm a wings fan. Does this impact their performance? This is like having a dick waving competition, but instead of real dicks, we're just looking at dicks on the internet and deciding which one is better. What I'm trying to say is that I don't get to see enough dicks irl

How did this get into a rage thread?
i loled hard at the Kanata Senators, cause being at the game on saturday, a lot of sens fans were complaining that the arena is so far from downtown. Takes a little over an hour from downtown to get to the game. And they were saying the same thing grum was saying. Being a person outside of ottawa though, i was surprised he pulled it out.
Also, this is a leaf discussion thread, you can bash them or support them (both sides with good points at least, dont be douches for the sake of being douches) Grum, you can talk about how you enjoy watching the leafs.

When the current version of the "Senators" started playing in their current arena, it was in the city of Kanata, not Ottawa.
Look. It. Up.
When the Senators as we know it started playing, they were playing at the Civic Center, which is in Ottawa. They moved to a real arena purpose built for them in the now defunct city of Kanata. And now that i think of it, i should change my work shipping address from ottawa to kanata if i want to receive my packages, maybe that's why i have not been getting my packages in the last 10 years.
Silly Londoner.
Once again, a leafs fan hanging on to an out-dated concept.

i loled hard at the Kanata Senators, cause being at the game on saturday, a lot of sens fans were complaining that the arena is so far from downtown. Takes a little over an hour from downtown to get to the game. And they were saying the same thing grum was saying. Being a person outside of ottawa though, i was surprised he pulled it out.
Hahaha! I said it as a trolling line, and it's true?!

That being said, I'm sure there's hardly anyone outside of Kanata or Stittsville who wouldn't want the team moved to Lebreton flats. That was the original desire of the team, but the national capital commission, who ownes the land, wanted it saved for condos or something. Also Kanata was really booming back in the day, and since it was so close to Nortel and all the other high tech companies, it was close to the companies that could actually buy boxes. Since the region's largest employer, the federal government, can't buy suites/boxes, the arena was located nearby those who would.

You are trying too hard, Mike. Logic will not work here.

Otown is a long way from a rebuild if that is the plan they want to take.
It would have been a miracle if our boys in blue pulled that off. That being said, I was hopeful right to the end that it could be done. I know I have high hopes, but they showed heart and got some good support behind the pipes. I hope that they can keep this momentum next season.

The actual reason why the Arena was not built on the Lebreton flats was because the Senators wanted to own everything and the National Capital Commission was not willing to sell the land but instead wanted to lease it to them. So then they went with their second choice "Kanata" because they were able to buy the land.

Too bad when they built in Kanata they decided to use the land they owned around it only for parking lots. Why they wouldn't have wanted to have a strip of restaurants and bars outside the entrance is a mystery to me, and good fortune to smart centres or whoever owns restaurants in the big box centre across the 417 on Terry Fox. Those places are 100% packed for games

Senators may suck, but Leafs fans should be the last to make fun of any team.

because theyd rather have the profits themselves

What I was trying to get at is that they would own the restaurants and therefore the profits

So seeing that this is the LEAFS thread, I'm going to talk Leafs.
That was a goal, it was completely across the line and even Price mouthed "It's probably a goal"... and don't pretend you don't know what a goalie saying that means.
Anyway, not even close so who cares. Cu next season. Again.
