I can't help but find it awesome that people are supporting the TNR community. It's only 1/2 in the month of September and the meter is showing that the goal has been met. I didn't even get a chance to donate this month yet.
Thanks for keeping this community alive and well. I'm sure every returning player appreciates this fully.

Yeah we really appreciate it guys. Every donation really does meet the difference. Not only do we have this month all rigged up but we already have donations waiting for the beginning of next month. If you guys make donations when the goal as been met, it'll just carry over to the next month's goal so you don't need to worry about that.
Once again guys, you make me a happy manofphat.

Instead of starting a new thread I just thought I would revive this old one to make a small announcement.
As always, donations to TNR are fantastic and we want to thank you for your contributions and continued input to the forums / website. We truly have the best gaming community members a site could have.
I would ask for one favour for those that make a donation to TNR in future. If possible, please make your donation while logged into the website. The benefit to us is that we can determine who made the donation, via your in-game name. Every now and again we get a donation from someone that we may not know their real name, and without your in-game name we dont know what member to put the donation against. Please put your in-game name into the comments section of PayPal when submitting your donation so that we can process your reserved slot in a timely fashion.
Thanks again people.

Evar heer of a tax break?
The woman really doesn't need money when she has the hearts and minds of millions of middle aged housewives, and husbands for that matter, under her greasy little thumb. To these people she dictates what's fun, what's compassionate, what's interesting, what's education, etc, etc, etc.
The woman has come a long way past pushing a product (TV Show), she's the very idol of an entire lifestyle.

well fine, I'll clarify what was originally supposed to be a nice compliment since you guys are being major sticklers.
Malek = generous
HEYOOOOO
sidenote: if she doesn't care about money then whats the point of donations for a tax break?
p.s. if he's dissin' oprah so much, can I claim religious intolerance? :P

I didn't say she doesn't care, I said she doesn't need. Giving the money to charitable causes generates alot more "I should be your new deity" points then just forking it over to the government.

Either way she's still supplying lots of people with free cars, houses, and cash. Whether or not she's doing it for the pure joy of it or for other motivation, commodities are going to people in need.
That aside, this isn't a thread about oprah so lets just consider it a non-issue =.=

People who have TV's, or can make it into her Chicago studio are hardly in need. With 1 of those cars she could build a water treatment facility in Africa...

Yeah, but that might lower her net profit by reducing viewership (less interesting) leaving her with less total money to give away. Let's say she's able to give 10% of her donations to African water facilities and wants to up it to 15%. If that brings her total earnings down by more than 33% she's reduced her total african funding (as well as her gross income, and the projects that stem from that funding)

if it makes you feel better people need to apply to get tickets to shows where she gives crap away, its not a crapshoot as to who gets the free goods. in otherwords, no its not anyone with a TV who gets stuff for free, its all poor people who are flown/driven/whateverthehell in to get the goodies.
