Due to the popularity of the server last night I've raised the player slots of the server to 32. I've also turned off friendly fire. Please voice your opinion of these changes.
This is just a test. I will be monitoring the servers resources tonight to see how it handles it.
Over the span of yesterday we had more than 1000 different players connected to our server ;)
[ADDON] Forgot to mention, during this time the GG DM server will be turned off.
[ADDON2] Looks like TF2 only supports 24 slots.

I pre-ordered but forgot to hit the install tab. Hence me not around last night on TF2.

null brought up an interesting point. Without FF everyone just shoots someone they think is a spy so it's a lot harder to be a spy. What do you guys think?
I believe FF should turned back on.
1) People shooting through teammates. A teammate running in front've a heavy that's spraying should die. Period. Invulnerability to stupid teammates is... well, stupid. Though, until you get some kind've admin mod for it -- not to mention some admins -- it may be a problem.
2) Spies. They're damn near worthless w/o friendly fire. The team will just randomly shoot anyone that approaches, and since they can't hit teammates, they'll instantly know it's a spy. Shouldn't be that easy. A good Eng won't allow his buildings to go down so easily. Once they sap, it's fairly obvious who it is. And as for the whole backstabbing into a larger group? They can just spray one another to get you.
Can't think of anything else at the moment, really. I'll just leave you with this last little bit:
I basically want FF to be on in the TF2 server for the same reasons it's on in the CSS server. It just makes sense. This isn't a community of noobs. :P

There aren't any admin mods for TF2 available yet but yesterday we didn't have too many problems with FF

I haven't played TF2 yet, but I played tfc like 24/7 back in 1999-2001.
Way I remember playing was without FF.
When I was a spy I just had to be really good and really natural and use better strategy when playing this class.
for example, just acting really natural when around other players and just act as if you were on there time, and gain the enemys trust, then when the time was right I'd pull out that sweet sweet shank

How do we get people to stop using their newly found Hax for TF2. It's already starting to irritate me - just like Veng and Manophat last night !

As much as I hate spies and want to make their lives as difficult as possible, watching HGs sit behind the lines firing or Soldiers chain rocketing in a room of people takes something away from the game.
It also gives me a clearer shot at the HGs head^^
