so i got my hands on a copy of Sanctum today, pretty cool game - first person shooter crossed with tower defense. pretty sure that's self explanatory but in case you need more info, you have a 3 guns to start with (i don't know how / when u get the 4th gun which is essentially 3 shotguns turned into a minigun firing 60 shot gun shells / second)
as with any other TD game, you build your maze - what differs is that u need to build a blocking block and then a tower ontop / inside of it @ the first person level, TAB out to your map to see what your layout of blocking blocks looks like and where you put your teleporter/elevator blocks. you can quickly move between your teleporter blocks from the map by double clicking the one u want to move to. the maps are fairly big so you need to strategically drop teleporter blocks so you can move around the map quickly.
game modes:
single player (i wouldn't exactly call it campaign, but it is level unlocking - each level = more towers u can use)
co-op i haven't played this yet, but i will be later tonight i expect it to either be twice as many mobs, or resource split. i don't know how it works yet.
4 player (coming soon) - no clue what their plan is for this, i'm guessing some sort of competition
please note:: these levels get progressively longer
tutorial - 10min
level 1 - 30min
lvl 2 - 55min (probably would of been 45min if my puppy didn't require my immediate attention)
no clue how long the next levels are going to be, im really hoping these levels cap somewhere near 1hr max otherwise it could become very tedious. however you checkpoint every round, so i assume u can save and go back to the game at a later time.
i'd recommend this game. i find it pretty fun esp for $15
