I know only few of you play SC2 ladder games, but we (CSC, Concordia Starcraft Community, a university community I started up back in September) and the SCS (Society of Computer Science) are partnering up to get this one-day LAN going.

The basic details can be found here: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=215116

* Sign-ups are at the door with payment (10$), however please post here so we can transmit how many people are interested and thus arrange proper number of equipment.
* Map-Pool is the following: MLG Metalopolis, MLG, Shakuas Plateau, MLG The Shattered Temple, MLG Tal'Darim Altar, Scrap Station, Xel'Naga Caverns and MLG ICCUP Testbug (MLG means that you cannot spawn in close-ground positions and on Shakuras, you only spawn in cross-map positions)
* Brackets is a bit sketchy as they are unsure of how to work it out, however here is the draft of their ideas: "we probably will have some matches to determine placements. After it will be a playoff style(kind of like hockey playoffs). We haven't decided on whether we will have best of 3 or just a single elimination match"
* There will be up to 500$ in prizes for participation, first-prize (presumably), etc.
* It is BYOC (bring your own computer), however power-plugs/bars and ethernet cords will be provided by the SCS

I'm still new to organizing and such, but they're handling the inner-working, I have to work on drumming up interest.

10 bucks, free drinks and food apparently, 500$ for participation or being there. Fun place to meet-up :3

P.S: Nite's a cheeser
