TBH, as much of a Leafs fan as I am, I've been so close to jumping OFF that bandwagon over the past couple years that I just couldn't do this.

make a bid for only 66%

2/3 of the leafs (and some other stuff) is worth 1.6 bil :( so 2.4 bil net value.

Spit the shares you split the profit... I doubt you'd ever see a return on it. Despite the fact that they are the highest grossing teams. Splitting 66% of the profit 1,000,000 ways does not work out to much. I may as well just keep the money in my savings account, I might see a better return on the interest.
