I dont think its that amazing. sure its cool, but the game Ive heard about being portal, is not this. the portal ive heard about had aliens and useing the mechanics all in it... this was just a stupid test room

Just... a... stupid... test room? o.O It was more or less exactly what I was expecting, in terms of gameplay. A puzzle game with a nearly unique dynamic. (I say nearly, because apparently VALVe just hired on the programmers that put the game together after they had completed a project for their graduating marks which was basically the original portal...) Anyways. My only real complaint was it's length, but I'm hoping that might be remedied by the fact that there will - hopefully - be mappers out there dreaming up customs.

... Aliens? Where the hell did you hear that, anyhow? I'd like to know what you've been putting in your coffee, I could use some excitement in my life. :P

all the games? remember, fabby. HL2 was 5 normal CDs. in which would probably make up 1 of the dvds.


and as for the whole alien thing, that was off early reviews and such of the concept. I believe it was on x-play (which does good reviewing on games and talks about upcoming gaming)

also anyone know how to make a map for portals? when you find out tell me, I have a fun Idea for it, but I cant seem to find a way to make a custom map XD

The advanced was hard'n fun. Though, the challenges kind've annoy me. o.O Didn't bother with those.

X-Play has a decent rating system, but they lost my respect when they dragged Pirates vs. Ninjas on Loooooooooong past it's prime.

Krythos, are you sure you're not talking about Prey? It uses a technology/gimmick called Portal as well.
