my birthday is today. enough said XD got a new computer.

nForce680i SE sli motherboard
x1600 sapphire pro raedon video card
onboard sound (looks like 7.1 havnt had the time to touch the comp yet since I have it in peices and the mobo didnt come with a heatsinc for the prosessor
Intel C2D E6550 2.33GHz processor
2bigs of ddr2 ram
no speakers yet.

what do you guys think about my new computer? (screenshots will come once Im done setting it all up, its about time I leave to go see my girlfriend and get my birthday gift from her ;) )

oh and for those of you wondering how old I am, I am now 19. so Ill probably hanging with a few friends getting shitfaced on the weekend... dont know yet.

actually, Ive been waiting for someone to give me an Idea of how good my comp is going to be (I have all the stuff I posted above, but I dont have it together cuz I need the heatsync to put over the processor. for some reason my mobo didnt come with a heatsync for the processor -.-)

KT, I have had that x1600 for about a year (got it for christmas last year as a gift) but I havnt had any computer to put it in. and the rest of the computer is a gift, but me and my dad are having troubles getting the comp working right, keeps giving us a black screen when it trys to boot off the xp disc. and the floppy drive was giving my dad issues before so. and yes, if you cant tell, I got all the parts seperately pretty much so there was no preloading either. the joys of computing XD

and yes, I will eventully upgrade the video card, but for now, the x1600 is more then fine for the games I want to play.

and cray, I dont think my GF would like that much. XD

HBD good sir. And i would say your compy is at least 3x as good as my laptop lol.
Hopefully someone can give you more useful advice, i stopped paying attention to comp hardware when i stopped being able to afford upgrades.
