Absolutely stunning game. Perfect mix of Metal Gear Solid and Mass Effect (and maybe some Rainbow six Vegas)
so I finished the game today and jeez the amount of choices you have in the game are a lot though you know its finite. Especially, in the end (O_O)
anyways, i give 8.7/10
if you havent bought this game, BUY IT. Even if you had some doubts about the game, trust me, youll have fun.
o btw, heres something I picked up in what I considered an easter egg in the game. The developers threw in some Hockey "patriotism" in the game. seeings how the game was developed in Montreal...............

hacking is lame
jumping off 1 story and dieing is lame
getting in firefight in this game is dumb cause the ai is so stupid yet have aim bots
it runs kind of shity and is unpolished but otherwise its alright

Do you need to have played the first one?

judging by the fact that the original is a decade old, I'll go with no.

Do you need to have played the first one?
as a person who played the original, I can confidently say "no you don't need to"
HOWEVER, there are a bunch of little tip-of-the-hat references to the original that have been increasing my experience

If you want to - you'd have to be a fan of the old style of FPS where you get an objective and either no map or a crappy one. It IS considered a classic of the genre, so you may want to just give it a shot.
DO NOT play "Deus Ex: Invisible War".

I would never have run this game in it's comfort zone on that old system.. cheers to upgrades in time for pretty new games!
It's been so long since I played a stealthy game, I've completely lost my touch. No rush though, pickin it back up. It reminds me of Splinter Cell so far, prolly because I haven't done my first round of augmentations yet.

I really like this game. The combat mechanics are really fun. The upgrade system for augments/weapons is good, setting is just awesome. If you love bladerunner setting your love this game.
The actual shooter mechanics are a little weak in the sense that they lack punch. I think it has to do with the weapon sounds along with the hit animations. Feels kind of like GTAV.
I am about 5 hours in and I love it so far.
