you know the quality if you read (or look at the file size), and the virus comment... lol. i have yet to receive the mighty mp3 virus.

lol it's called oink.
OR soulseek, which may bring some viruses indeed, but it's still a great tool.

I usually just torrent my music, but soulseek's a great backup when you're looking for more obscure stuff.

then why the hell they killed demonoid :((

that i dont know. never even used it.... however;

Visitors from Canadian-based IPs continue to be redirected to the same downtime message which cited legal threats from the CRIA as the reason for the block. However, Canadian users are still able to access the site using a proxy to hide their IP address. This is in spite of Judge Konrad von Finckenstein of the Federal Court ruling in March 2004 that such peer-to-peer exchanges were legal in Canada.[6] Despite Demonoid's claims, the CRIA has neither confirmed nor denied their involvement.

so im not sure whats going on there... but demonoid seems to be rocking more than just music torrents, and while its legal to dl music, im not sure about the rest.

I just tried a few band myspace pages, and I get "No Files Found" for all of them. Are you sure this worked when you tested it? Flash players like those on myspace usually work by playing the file from an external source, so I don't know how it would be possible to "download" the song directly from the site without taking it directly out of your cache, or just recording it. :/

I prefer torrents for music. But there's none for a lot of smaller bands, so sometimes I have to use P2P networks. And for even smaller bands (like local), you can't even use that, so I got excited when I saw this thread thinking their was a quicker and easier way to download music from myspace. :( I wish there was good newsgroups for music binaries.

And also, Demonoid will be fine. It's common for sites to shut down when threatened with any legal action, regardless of how unsuccessful the lawsuit will probably be.
