HW Speed Glitch Exploiters

Hieyeck STEAM_0:0:5031910 Violent by design and STEAM_0:0:6966103 were on server #1 at about 10pm on October 7, 2007 using the HW speed glitch to gain an unfair advantage over other players in the game.

FYI, the glitch involves using the machine gun to run at full speed while still being able to fire the gun. It makes HWG much more difficult to kill.

Saw this exploit yesterday from another player STEAM_0:0:3282859, was doing the exact same thing, moving at super speed as heavy weapons while firing gun (see my post below)

STEAM_0:0:16365717 as well, check live stats, these hackers are easy to pick out because majority of kills, favorite weapon is machine gun

Yeah and while we're at it, why don't we just bring back the old mill and do THAT glitch every round, even though it will piss people off and make them not want to play. Exploits give you an unfair advantage and in some cases can be considered the same thing as cheating, when being used repeatedly.

Don't go trying to make people look like losers because they don't like the unfair advantage. I'm sure something will be done with this soon enough.

There are 2 choices, either ban these players (assuming cheating is still not tolerated on TNR servers) or once the bug is fixed reset the stats.

There is BETA admin plugin that was just released for TF2. I'll update the servers with it probably tomorrow afternoon after my midterm. All the admins will be told to perm ban the people who exploit and there will be an advert on the server telling players that if they do it, they will be banned.

Considering VALVe came out with a fix so quickly, the ID's mentioned will be banned for 7 days instead of perm.

Are we going to reset the HLXStats once the game is no longer beta? (and since they were thrown off by misc cheaters?)

I'm putting in the bans right now.
I don't plan on reseting the stats. There will always be new cheaters and exploits.

Wow Fraud is that in regards me? You are so childish. I dont need a glitch to gain advantage over other players as my favourite characters are soldier, spy, medic and engineer. I "quote(tried)" the exploit with the heavy, and let everyone know that i was trying it. I also let everyone know how it worked and stoped using it after 1-2 kills.

If i were a lamer and used it continuesly for a long period of time, i understand reporting me, but 2 kills? I think you're just angry cuz you cant even touch my rank.

Wow, yet another looser. If you've seen me play before your nub ass would realize that i dont ever use the heavy, i always use soldier, medic, eng or spy. I have 1-2 hours played on the heavy since the day the game came out, and 13 hours played on soldier.

I've killed max of 2 people using the exploit with the heavy while TRYING IT. If you'd know better, its not possible to reach rank #1 while using the exploit for killing 2 people.

Honestly, you need to get a life. Try reporting people that ruin the game, not exploit for 1minute.
