Now, if he modified it to say something like, "I operate a non-profit organization which helps introverted, socially inept adolescents and adults get in touch with others like them in a safe and enjoyable environment" he might do better - and wouldn't really be lying now, would he?

You gotta make sure you add that your trying to rase money to improve the quality and content of your non-profit organization threw the generosity of others. Ask them if they can donate, and it doent have to be a money donation. :)
