Hey guys,

Time for a public meet! No LAN this time but it should give some of our newer members and even some of our older members a chance to meet more people in our community.

Please vote on whether or not you're coming so we can make reservations!

Theres a really nice Keg on Jarvis and Dundas-ish, or theres one a little bit more in the core.. the one on Jarvis is called the Mansion and its pretty much a mansion. And the one in the core ( i forget the street) is more like a modern sleek stylin place. We will have to make reservations even though its lunch, cause it gets pretty busy. hmmmm surf and turf

They seem to have a wide selection - they aren't just serving tube steaks anymore. And, pricing is such that it should fit most peoples budget. However, Manofphat's lunch is on me.... so the 6" hot dog is all for you Winston.

The moose may be better for those of us wanting to have a beer or four. But, the pricing at Shopsys is pretty good, i'm sure they've got beer too...its not on the menu, but is on the site banner...so we'll see.

Loose Moose haha. That place is pretty dirty, but their imitation sliders are tastey.. too bad they've been cutting back on the amount of stuff they serve (they used to include tomatoes, onions, lettuce and stuff.

The Keg downtown (York/Adelaide-ish) is really slick, not sure how they'd like a rowdy group of gamers haha.

Never been to Shopsy's. I need to figure out what's going on with my schedule that weekend then perhaps I can join you guys.

Well Nekkris, you will notice that we try to do a few get togethers from time to time around here. Some are smaller private affairs and some are somewhat larger. Unfortunately are 50 person LAN never happened this summer, but I'm shootin for something next summer if we have enough input and help from our members.

Hey guys and gals. Looks like we had another good get together and finally put a few more faces to the voices we hear in our heads at night. (Don't worry Kathy, your still in my dreams too).

Thanks to all for making the trip down and for those who went out of their way to accommodate transportation for those who had none. That's the big difference our community has over all the others.

Special thanks to our fearless Leader - Manofphat, without him and his trusty sidekick, Tonto... I mean Landspeed, our awesome website and servers would never be maintained, assembled and administrated to the degree of expertise that they are. This takes hours and hours of their time and we appreciate it. Also, to those who donated to the new server fund, or those that donate to pay for the bandwidth, well dammit, we just love you all, and thanks a bunch.

Anyway, Mano and I delivered the server to its new home, which was the main reason for getting together, and I must say she looked sweet. I have a few pics below of our new server and its final home at the bottom of a rack at our co-lo provider. And yes, it's Silver with four hot-swappable hard drives Baby !

We can talk about the Shopsy's Hot dog Surprise if you like Lesia, however the Chef becomes embarrassed when its discussed in the open. Had you asked me, I would have shown you the Skully Surprise without hesitation, but then again people would stare. Oh well, maybe next time eh...hahaha.

On another note people, my apologies that the table situation and size of our group made it difficult to meet and speak with everyone. The next venue shall be large enough to allow easy movement and freedom to mingle without bothering other restaurant patrons.
