I just noticed that we didn't have a thread about this yet.
I finally found some time to play it between CSS, TF2, and Portal and I have to say that so far I'm very impressed!

I'm wondering if anyone was able to get the lawn gnome achievement. I've come pretty far with it but it's becoming a real bother so I want to know if anyone has any tricks to deal with it.

I finished Episode 2 the other night....when I wasnt ready for it to end.. :-(

It was too short :(
I think I finished it on the second night or something, I was totally disappointed that it ended so fast.
But it is an amazing episode nevertheless.

I found a lawn gnome, but I couldn't figure out what to do with him, he's under the shelves in the room you receive the transition from Alex's Dad in, on the right of the locked door that opens right up by itself.

heres the lawn gnome trick
Little Rocket Man: Send the garden gnome into space.

Available: Chapter 1. I write Chapter 1, because this is the only chance you
can get the Garden Gnome. It is located in the room where you make
your first transmission to Eli, Dr. Kleiner, and Dr. Magnusson.
Before you exit the room it is under the shelf like thing in the
right corner.
Objective: Carry the Garden Gnome through the game and place it in the rocket
in Chapter 6.

I'm having trouble with it in the car and the helicopter chase scene. The fucker keeps falling out and it's really starting to get to me

I got past it. Here's how I did it:
I put the lawn gnome down before all the trains where you have to get all crazy with the car and I entered the tunnel with the car to the load point. After you load on the other side of the tunnel just reverse so you're going back and go back to get the lawn gnome without any trouble!

omfg I got the damn gnome in the damn rocket and it didn't give me my damn achievement.
