I dont mind dust....too much of it can be a bad thing. Maybe we should just vote it in when we are feelin it. I usually build a map vote with a few maps that havent been seen in a while, but if you include de_dust, you can guarantee that it wins the vote.

yea exactly, seems like as soon as they see dust as in de_dust or de_dust2, that vote annihilates any other map choice instantly. No one takes their time to think about the other map possibilities. Also Dust2 will fill the server within 10 min, if not sooner.

Someone also pointed out that de_dust or de_dust2 is always first when a vote comes up, so that may have some influence on the outcome aswell.

I normally only vote for d2 whenever the server needs to be filled back up, or when I just really need a warm-up. >.<

personally, I think it should become a map rotation, rather then a vote, just so we dont see dust 2 constantly when we are on CSS. since dust 2 and dust are far too overplayed. and its annoying, personally, since I dislike both maps

I think people are missing how it's more imbalanced then Aztec...
Az get balanced when the T's start working together to accomplish something, but look at the map layout, it's almost identical with a few key differences, choke points are narrower and longer and there is more cover and superior vantage points for the CT's
The only way for the CT's to lose on D1 is if T's all rush to A and <3 (lol) CT's rush deep A entrance.

Dust 2 seems to be the most balanced map that I know of... Dust 1 isn't balanced at all, but ti's still fun.

and they stopped complaining and a bunch of them were all like, cool u include your community in server decisions!?

I think dust is fine. Really, the only problem one might encounter is the team not working together. It is quite possible for a T team to rush out right away, or delay one. Yes, doing nothing but camp is lame, and a pansy-tactic, but delaying a bit can sometimes be the most intelligent thing to do, especially when the CTs are rushing faster than your team.

That said, the only reason I can't say I'm against dust is simply because I haven't played it in ages. The only time I ever play on a server other than this one is when a friend asks me to. *shrug*
