I can pick up an x2 4200 toledo on ebay for ~$75 incl shipping:
http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=290184623503&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=019

TD's prices always seem to be higher than average :/

TKJ, how goes the CPU hunt?

I don't buy CPU's off ebay, especially OEM packages since my hunt for a skt 478 p4 EE.
Tiger has the 3800+ for 69 + tax and ship (retail box) or 4200+ for 85 OEM.
what it comes down to is accountability... did I ever mention I bought an ATI 9800XT off ebay and received an nVidia MX 440? after waiting almost 3 months?

Thats horrible... did the seller have good feedback? Ebay is definately not a safe place for shoppers. Overall though you can find good deals now and again.

Just keep up to date with the seller, request a tracking # etc...
I've ordered CPU parts off ebay just fine ;)

Had one seller who just took off, got my money refunded (GF6800 Ultra). Another seller took about 3 months before he was successfully able to send the item (GF6800 GT); apparently he sent the first package to the wrong address, but his fault not mine. Ended up refunding me full shipping and a bit extra so it was worth it imo. As long as you keep on top of it everything should be fine :)
