So... my name is Alexandru Soltan but everyone calls me Soltan, ever since DUDE WHERES MY CAR came out...so.. i'm 19... look like i'm 30, work in restaurantsand i'm done highschool. I was once the number 1 light heaveyweight wrestler in all of toronto and team ontario for Rugby, I'm less active in sports now... I play pc games every now and then i was big into Natural Selection and cs 1.5 1.6 and ofcourse TF, just bought TF2 like 2 weeks ago and i'm loving it... so... i plan on hopefully being a regular here on the Toronto Servers and maybe link up with some ppl every now and then for a movie or a lan or what not. What else is there to say ?

ACTUALLY: Borat was shot in Moldova( where i am from) it is the poorest country in europe<--- fact. It was from the split of the USSR, a small piece of land that was kind of Half Romanian and half Russian. It originated before the birth of USSR when they wanted to take control of romania, they onlky managed to get a small part of it....

so that later on became Moldova, it hasn't got 1 official language, as people speak romanian and russian, they're all taught both from birth and alot of Turkish is spoken over there. Most ppl jsut refer to Moldova as Romania because honestly, who here knew of MOldova? It's pretty much same thing as Romania only the language( Moldovian) is kind of Romanian slang. Moldavian to romanian is comparile to the grammar of American vs Jamaican. there... nice history lesson for you guys out here :)

That's not what wiki says.

In the opening scenes in the town of Kuzcek, because these scenes were shot in Glod, Romania, the villagers speak Romanian. As in the rest of the film, what is spoken does not match the translation given in the subtitles. For example, when Borat's wife Oksana speaks, the subtitles show her telling Borat to "Do something useful and dig his mother's grave," when she is actually telling him to go into "the devil's cunt."
