View Full Version : Go back to the old cp_granary..
There's been some backlash amongst the players of leagues like TFL and CEVO about the changes to granary, and I for one have got to agree with them - the new changes essentially make it so whomever gets CP3 wins the map. If you get CP3, you get a 5 second spawn timer, and if you get CP4, you are closer spawn point to 4, so you really can't lose it. especially with the short spawn time. If we do end up adding some new maps to the server in the future, maybe we could go back to the old, BALANCED granary, too. Here's a link to it:

the fact that TF2 already has leagues makes me lawl
I hate the new sniper nest at the backs of CP2/4 that look out towards the final CP's... it makes the defenders even MORE vulnerable

CS had leagues when it was in beta...I think 2 or 3.1? Can't remember.
It was at CPL also in beta state...too bad I haven't been back to Dallas ever since :(

I believe the TF2 dev team is doing as much as they can to get rid of stalemates. I think it's fair for the point capturing to get easier as you go down the line. But that's just me.

My impression of capturing is that it should take less time on the point for the attacker to capture it as you move along, but it shouldn't be as easy as it now is to capture the final point on granary.
Even before the update the final cap point was freakishly easy to capture...

Granary is all about the scout rush. It just turns into more and more scouts vs scouts.

People I know have been preping to make TF2 clans since the day HL2 was first promoted.
TF was big shit before CS took a lot of it's players, It seems as big as it looks, I dunno I don't like it much.

Psh, Empires 2.0 has clans and a League and it's just a mod. And don't say that would be lame, because I'm the League administrator and it would make me sad.
Anyway, best you can do is hope to find yourself on a good team
There was an entire TFC community (yes, it was still alive and kicking) dying for an upgrade, and with how good the gameplay is, are you all that surprised there are leagues?
Anyhoo,with granary, I totally agree about the increased cap-rate, but it's the respawn rate that's the issue - AND the new respawn near the warehouses. I really hope the dev team look at what they changed and realize how god awful it is.
