I need suggestions for a work activity, for about 10-12 people, young and old (by old, I mean that don't do much, which sucks cause go carting and rock climbing is out of the option)

One of the suggestions was to go eat at a comedy club.

Fire away.

Also, I thought we'd rent a Wii somewhere and go to my bosses house (she's also got a pool table) but we haven't found a place where they rent out a Wii... got any ideas of where they rent them?

Usually the smaller game stores are the ones that rent them. There's a place in Cornwall that rents them out (but it's a $300 deposit).

I would suggest maybe some sort of scavenger hunt? Maybe relate the hints to funny things that have happened at work? Bowling is also a good time for young and old

We did bowling last time, also lazer quest has been done with less than stellar success...

Nice try tho, I've got a tough crowd here...

We have also done pool tournaments, bowling, euchre, Labatt tour, Ford tour, Top of the Fair (horse races at the Western Fair).

Yea, my company has also done stuff like that. We do stuff that tends to cost a little more then some are willing to spend. Rent a charter boat and go fishing on the lake. Go to the racetrack / casino.

Wow, good ones Monkey. Thanks!
We don't work in Toronto and it has to be a relatively short thing, maybe 3-4 hours max, so fishing on the lakes is out ot it!

I'm really dissapointed tho, many have decided against the comedy club, their excuse is they don't want to pay for parking, drive downtown or pay 30$ for a dinner and comedy. Wow, what a bunch. I need more "fun" people.

Play some board games. Cranium, or Cranium turbo edition is always fun. Settlers of Catan is lots of fun once everyone finishes the relatively short learning curve.

Poker tourney! Or a real-time game of Defcon across your office's network (it takes multiple hours :P)

Oh wait, it was Entropy who did the whole camera thing at his office. My bad

Hide a person somewhere in the city, then have teams try to find them based on landmarks and sets of data without place names.

Take a winery tour (may be a little cold)

have a book club

We ended up: 1/2 went out for dinner and the comedy club, the other half stayed at home and didn't participate in the activity.
