Lo All!

Name's "Ryan", but Everyone around here calls me "Farley", on account of that being the name I got stuck with for work...

One of the beautiful sides to radio, really, the whole "giving up your real name" part.

makes for some awkward situations in the bedroom, but otherwise, allright.

Found this NR Server on TF2, and I think I've played 75 % of my TF2 time on it, ever since.

Thanks for the community!

Figured I'd get at least...
oh....

80 thousand "Anti-Sen" replies if I threw that one up there.

At least I didn't put up a full-on Anti-Leaf one ;)

/Server's in Toronto, I knew it'd at LEAST spark a little "grr" factor.

:)

I work for a Classic Rock Station in Fredericton called "FRED FM".

Unlike the "Jack" or "BOB" formats, though, we took our name from the city, and play rock.

Damnit.
:)

I'm actually on RIGHT NOW...
http://www.fredfm.ca

For another hour ish, then on again, all freakin night it seems, though I won't actually be HERE, per se.... (live on location thing for a few hours at a local Christmas Event, then hosting a special 2-hour Led Zeppelin Special, then my hour-a-night-show called the WTF at 9 our time, 8 for anyone in the EST zone.)

Whee!

TGIF.

Hey, if you really want to be thrown for a loop, we could always rename you here, too! I think I'mma gonna call you "Biscuit", on account of you being all ... um ... cookie-like. (Dammit, running out of bad "Farley" puns.)

Regardless, welcome!

Now, is that a Hand-crafted, time honoured Recipe biscuit, or a Bisquick n milk one?

Cause I mean, I put alot of effort into my mixes.

/That's right, even a simple comment can be turned into an in-dept window view of the effin DJing world.

To be perfectly honest, I've gone by nicknames or weird on air names for almost 12 years now... I'm more than used to it ;)

Much obliged on the welcome, though!

Holy CRAP!

Swear, I've never even seen those before!

Kudos on a new spin on the name... I'm pretty sick of the eight billion Chris Farley Ref's, and the few WoW ppl who point out "InnKeeper Farley" from Goldshire...

*shaking head*

Tip of the cap to you, dude.

Welcome to the site dude!
Think you could post your schedule for when you're playing? I'd love to give it a listen!
I rock out to the Maritimes every so often. I used to go up every year to a little town near Bathurst.

My sked's are a little odd, right now, especially with Christmas rolling in...

Traditionally, I'm on Wed-Friday 10 AM-3PM Atlantic Standard Time (9-2 your time), saturdays from 8am-1pm AST (all request), and also on a recorded show I write and produce every weeknight at 9, called the WTF.

It's an odd sched, for sure, but that was the new one they handed me in August, after a year and a half on mornings.

Funny, I tend to visit Kingston alot... sister n Neices live there...
Actually had an interview there a few weeks ago for that new station that just launched there.

Technically, I didn't.

I went from Ottawa (Workingfor 106.9 the Bear) to Effing TIMMINS (aka hell), to Fredericton.

Therefore, Fredericton, at the time, was a HUGE step up.

Can't stand Timmins.

"Home of Alexander Keith's and the Donair, home of the Mooseheads, but I don't really go there"

I'm from Truro, NS. Lived there most of my life, then Halifax for years.

People actually sold me Kingston on being a combination of Fredricton and Halifax.

How's Fredriction treating you ?

To be PERFECTLY honest?

like an outsider, most times.

But you get used to it.

Every time someone calls me a "CFA" (come from away), I'm quick to point out the fact thatI've been diectly responsible for raising upwards of 500,000 to a million dollars for THEIR community, while they've been drinkin Alpines inthe "Dooryard".

Ahem.

:)

I will never understand the love of Alpine that NB has. They posses the shittiest beers in the maritimes, Alpine and Mooshead. Uck.

I wouldn't worry about it too much though. You could be in worse places in NB than Fredriction. Like Chitcoutimi, or Moncton.
