I'm not sure if anyone's interested in home audio or not, but I figured I'd give it a shot seeing as how there are some members here from in and around Windsor. Oh, and sorry about the lack of images, I will email any interested parties pics (won't let me upload). Well, here goes:

One 500 Watt custom built (by me!) 12” home theatre subwoofer.

For those people who like serious bass, this speaker is definitely for you. The amplifier is a 500 Watt RMS BASH digital amplifier powering a 12” driver with a maximum linear excursion of 18.7mm!

The amp and driver are housed in a custom designed down firing enclosure measuring 18” x 18” x 18”, raised off of the floor using 4 gold plated spikes. There are two slotted ports, measuring 1.25” wide by 16” long that run down both sides of the enclosure and wrap around to face the back of the driver, resulting in lower extension without the “chuffing” that is commonly heard from most ports (due to inadequate port area), even at high volumes. This results in an extremely rigid (and heavy!) box, with all walls constructed of ¾” MDF and finished in a flat black paint. The speaker baffle was constructed using 2 pieces of ¾” MDF laminated together, providing excellent rigidity and drastically reducing any resonance of the baffle.

The amplifier is a BASH digital amp capable of delivering 512 watts RMS into the 4Ω load. It has a selector switch to use either your receiver’s LFE out or the amplifiers built in variable crossover. It also has high frequency pass through circuitry for use with satellite speakers.

The sound quality from this speaker will easily rival subwoofers costing $1200+.

This speaker has been personally designed, built and tested by me.
The asking price is $800 or best offer. Any interested individuals can PM me or reply to this thread.
NOTE: This does not include the subwoofer cable (I need it for mine!), and anyone who is interested can feel free to come out to my house to look it over and listen to it before the purchase. Also, if interested, I would be able to build any additional speakers that you might require.
