And like right now theres only one person and its 12am on a friday! pathetic. maybe ppl are away on vacation but others should be off school and stuff. fuck family, I was playing TNR all christmas eve, christmas day, and new years last year and probably will probably ring in the new year on tnr again this year. I don't really have family in northern alberta, seeing how I'm originally from Ontario, (anyone from this great province of Ontario automatically RULES! in my books)

but yeah I like to think of the Tnr community as family, Skully the father figure, venge the alcoholic brother, Fab the uncle who molested you as a child, and everyone else who is a regular as a friend who I get to shoot in the face

I'd be game for doing another admin competition like we did back in June of 2006.
Or maybe have 3 nights a week where if anyone stays on the server and plays for a total of 3 hours straight they could have a reserved slot for two weeks or something like that.

It seems like any time i log in people come on, I think its just a matter of people seeing an empty server. Pop in guys and people will join. Perhaps do a rtv with the few that are there to get dust2. Whenever I'm on the server and there is hardly anyone, I put on d2 and it populates the server, at least by double or triple.

But I must agree the CSS server is less and less populated. It will pick up, was fairly busy last night.

hmm... WIth the new games that just came on [ex.COD4.] idk coz i pop in to the cod4 server and it was pack with the regular TNR players and yes, css server is always quiet now a days. Admins aren't the key for more players on the server. Ask them to stop playing COD4 maybe and play css for a bit?

Yeah, I agree.... I have all but abandoned CSS because I seem to do much better with less frustration in the other games. That being said it may be time to give CSS some play time to keep it populated.

admins is a factor for sure.

There were couple times that server was full of ppl, but some idiots started to teamflash, tk, hassle other players everyround. after few rounds, server was empty. It was on dust2 as well.
I remember all the retard were from a clan tag called "AH".

Holidays is not an excuse. check other pub servers ..they are full. TF2 servers are always full. lol


Another thing is that I do feel a little problem in the css pub server. I am getting more chokes in the pub for sure. And, the register is really worse than before. maybe, the box is a little bite overloaded. I am not saying we don't need TF2 or COD4 servers. But, come on, if there is
4 TF2 pub server, and just one CSS and COD4 server. There is something wrong IMO.

Hey, I've been working too much to play. Probably havent' seen me in almost 6 months. I love how I donate, then dont play. Anyhoo, we should arrange a re-launch, get people excited, have giveaways, or ways to encourage clean play, and constant play on the server(s). Not sure if manophat has these in place (I've been out of the loop), but I used to run 1.6 servers, and tournaments (TFL, may have heard of them?). Would love to help get this organized.

Well yeah it's totally dead. One of the reasons I haven't played CS in a long time is because I only play on NR, and when it's empty - well I don't bother looking for other servers..
It was half full today at like 2 pm or something, so I played, rusty as hell.. but it was fun anyway.

You are the reasoning for this, it was dying due to the Christmas holidays, and all your negativity came along, and when you woke up and saw none playing on NR, you would just leave, no, thats not right. If you want people to play when the server is empty, all you have to do is join, play the bots for 5 mins and you'll have an almost full server, this happens all the time, I see it empty? I join and start a game. Im sick of people complaining its dead, when you guys aren't helping by just leaving when you see none playing and not starting a game. Droopy is correct however. But the main reason its not as full / popular is because we have added so many new and exciting games to our server offerings. With COD4 and TF2 more people are preferring to play the newer game releases.

That being said CSS is still enjoyable, but its nice to have a selection on our servers to play from. I for one have been engrossed in COD4 lately, and prior to that TF2. Once I tire of COD4 all the time I will probably end up playing a little of everything. The same will happen in the near future if we make a public UT3 pub server.

It's up to us to populate the server. Someone else isn't going to do it for us.
Some randoms aren't going to see an empty server and be all like, "omg lets populate that one!" The same goes for all of our servers.

I'll be joining CS:S a lot more lately when I see someone trying to populate the server.
CS:S is an important part of our community and I don't like seeing it like this :(

1. the server doesent even show up for me when i search for it out of all the other servers, it used to be in the top 5 when i organized them by ping, but now it doesent even show

esea servers are just slightly better than nfos and are basically a bunch of kids trying to race to the servers with cal i and cevo p players (ya im guilty of it), but they dont play it much because of what its become
