likewise with snipers, but no acog (cant hold breath) and you dont want to hold down shift for too long as it puts you in that uncontrollable state.

ITS P-90 TASTIC. RUN AROUND AND CIRCLES AND DONT USE ANY OTHER GUN!

After I played on the server today I went to a few other regular servers and came to the same conclusion.

Sorry but I do not find it fun in any way. I know people complain that hardcore unbalances the weapons but I like diversity. In hardcore people can use pretty much every gun with some effect depending on the situation.

In the 2 other servers I went too everyone had virtually the same kit using either silenced p90 or silenced m4.

Im going to move onto greener pastures. PM me if you change the server back to hard core.

LOL, w/e buddy I think it balances out the game a lot more, no longer will you find someone that goes like 50-10 or w/e we just played a round of free for all and three of us were all at 29 kills before someone won and one person was at 28, which shows it balances it out.

Normal is quite different than Hardcore and I guess you either love it or hate it or just love the game and can play both and still be happy.

non hardcore = officially gay. p90 rushes on small maps or others and their weapons that somehow kill like they are on hardcore on non hardcore makes it ghey. so I doubt ill be playing on the NR CoD4 servers much since I would rather play on hardcore where I get kills, then non hardcore and I die all the time like im in hardcore

Wouldn't snipers be more powerful on a normal server? You take from hardcore, an automatic weapon like the p90 which spews one hit kills an change it to a normal server, where it takes more than one shot to kill.

Is it that you can now get close enough to your enemies to make the p90 useful whereas before you had no chance to get within an operable range?

Don't forget to not let them get to close to you while you are shooting them as they will knife you. That guy last night in Shipment knifed me about 15 times while i was emptying my gun on him.

... It takes some skill now. try an assault rifle and go for the somewhat distanced shots, normal makes the game so that you have to aim...
Sure, there are still those people that take the p90 and spam... but heck... i remember taking out skully and cray at a distance. Choose your shots, move, and you will get yourself a good k/d ratio.
Also, dont forget to toss back those nades, or cook em. flashes and stuns are helpful, and pick up the bullet damage perk as it once again.. makes those kills a bit easier to get.

Get to learn the game the way it was designed, lol

well to each their own, BUT, for those of us who ARNT rank 55, we are missing unlocked weapons and such that when we come across someone who is, otherwise, our equal, or abit better then us, we ger raped because of the difference in the weapons aswell. for example, me and agent vs nekkkris, neither of us could touch him and he killed us as easily as he would have on hardcore. thus, in my opinion, hardcore makes for a better time for everyone because you dont need to be super accurate or have the best guns in the game in order to kill good.

To me it just takes refinding out what's good, like slight of hand and dead silence with a m14 isn't as good because the m14 is no longer a 1 shot kill, and since the need for a silencer arises the iron sights are ugly as sheit.

Dead silence is good, but you can still UAV jam and use silencers
I haven't used the m14 much I think that was Rez but, it's just a little weaker than a sniper, it's also single shot and has hip spread
M4 is a fully automatic rifle, there's a difference, you can pump out bullets faster
Snipers are 1-2 hit kills, you either missed a few times or well ... yeah missed
Most servers are non-hc, because it's how the game was ment to be played
Our regulars are newbs who can't adapt aka why they don't wanna play regular
Once again, starting weapons are pretty solid and you get most of the essential perks, none of the higher up ones are OP, there just different for customization
Though g000ch is a big dick he's kinda right

I say 2 servers, in order to satisfy some of the community.

As well... referring to Krythos, Nekkris, and Chris. The early guns are GOOD guns, thing is, you have to learn how to use them. In normal, use your damage perks, not the ones that make you hide. The Red-dot scope is AMAZING to use on your assault rifles, unless you enjoy and can use the iron sights (m4 for example) in which case the silencer will do you good.

Secondly, sniping is kind of an art on normal... dont bother with the iron lungs or being stealthy, as when you shoot you are going to draw attention to yourself in normal. This being said, choose your shots, take out the head, or upper chest where it is normally a 1 hit kill.

SMGs, silenced + damage + whatever you feel like... use your sights and you should do well.
Simple.


As for the whole HC n-HC issue. Since we started off on HC mode, we have attracted those ppl to the server, sure. But with no one really wanting to give normal a chance...what can we actually do. I agree that this is not a forced community... we have votes on it for a reason. Secondly, It would also be a great experience for people to actually play the game how it was designed, and get better.

As for the CSS remarks previously, I SUCK at CSS a fair bit of the time... but I love normal on CoD4...why? i dont know... the environment etc... So just saying cuz you are bad in one, you're going to be bad in the other is not a fair argument... *glare*... Everyone has their moments.

cod4 has less recoil, and at the level our pub is at, doesent require aim or reflexes 73.63% of the time in terms of getting a kill, its generally an easier game
compared to css, you get shot in the back or side much more
in css i felt like i could play the game strategically, like chess, but cod4 is like fucking 4 corner soccer or a simple card game where things are out of your control and random
the air strikes and helicopters were fun, but the game is getting boring now and its wearing off, the uav is pretty annoying and encourages random nades and such

I played a map on normal a week or so ago (and granted I suck ass now) but I shot someone point blank with a full clip (and yes it was ON THEM)...nothing. They killed me with a burst.

And please remember this coming from someone who spent alot of time on COD4 before, have been lvl 55 for awhile, used to be able to aim, and have played both HC & Normal. HC IMO is just plain more fun. I was dragged (quite unwillingly might I add) from COD4 :p
