Since everyone on here listens to music, i figured a nice thread about underground music would help those artists have more exposure. When i say "a nice thread" i mean a thread without judgment. You can keep your "[insert music genre] sucks" to yourself. If you don't like the musical genre, don't click play....very simple.

I'll start. I'm heavily biased on the underground scene of hip hop, so i will mostly post those, but i am also curious about what you all listen to as well.

This video here is by Promoe of Looptroop, a swedish hip hop band that i've had the pleasure of seeing live in Ottawa last winter. This song is about graffiti.

This other one is from a producer out of Ohio. RJD2 has a very unique style and very good beats. Here's my favorite video he released. 1976.

Best Electronica Ever... sadly not many have heard of them... from what i know they're local and u can only buy their CD's from a Rave shop downtown TO. GO HERE AND LISTEN TO THEIR SHIT (http://belladonnakillz.com/main.htm) the song in the video is really slow, but 90% of their stuff is fast tempo DnB/electronica

This group doesnt have any music videos... some of you mighta heard some of it at the LAN, its Norwegian Hip-Hop that a friend of mine from norway introduced me to....

Close ur eyes when u watch these...

I really like the production on the second video wise, but i do agree that the video is useless.

GLS, your 7L & Esoteric link don't work. DL is local for me, i've met him and the rest of his former band (9 Planets Hiphop) at a show in my home town. He's a really great guy and a very good mc.

why would you want artists to have more exposure? what do you think makes a band/group or what have you sell out and sound like shit? $$$

more exposure doesnt mean they sell out... it means more people will listen to them.

I agree with you, Non-Phixion's best single was Black Helicopters. I'm also a Classified fan, i've been listening to him for quite a while now, he has his own record label now IIRC. If you liked Classified, check some Benefit, he's a kid out of Chicago and spits fire ;)

GLS, yes, DL is from Ottawa. The band was all guys from Ottawa and surrounding area.

I'm feeling that Haze track....i never heard the name Cyne, but his voice is familiar.

That Lady Brown track, i know i've heard the sample before, but i can't pin point who sampled it. argh, it's going to bug me all day.

This track here by Dilated People was on their debut album The Platform. That song gives me shivers every time i listen to it....that's how much i love it.

If ANYONE can identify the sample at the 2:51 remaining, i will be forever grateful.

If that's true then he's talking about himself when he says "Thou shall not fall in love so easily."
