I can't use the ventrilo server because my brother is on it. We live in the same room, therefore using the same IP. Could one of the admins allow duplicate ip's?

Vent Usernames

Mine - bRaDLey-

Thanks in advance,

This is implemented as a line of protection against spammers.
In order for me to bypass this limit I need to give you a user account and unfortunately we have a strict rule that Ventrilo user accounts are only for clan members.

Sorry :(

It's a poor rule IMO

I think so too. But hey, I can't do anything about it.

except maybe try a proxy, or IP masker.

A proxy for vent actually..
You'd have to find someone to host the bandwidth for that!

IDK of any proxies for non-web-browsing.

Surf Anonymous will mask clients, Ventrilo may work.

depending on your ISP, they might give you multiple IP's. Cogeco gives 3 IP's on their standard plan, which is nice. I have a switch before my router, so I can make use of those extra IP's.

Yes it will if you don't know how to use it fully, first time I used it I screwed over some of my stuff.

I'm on Cogeco too. But I have their VoIP package, does that change anything? (It's an all in one) I have a main router, then a switch in my room which splits the internet to our 3 computers. Can I do what you're doing? How do I switch my IP?

You probably have a lag-out in it or something. Or is someone in your house in it too?

Must've been some type of lag-out, cause my roomie's not a gamer, nor a ventrilo...er?

Must be that damne Bonzi Buddy.
