Macho intro!

Hello all,

I have been on the Toronto servers for quite a few months now, since they are the only good ones within Canada.

The name is Macho, pronounced Mach-O! It's my nickname for Michael!
I'm from steel city, Hamilton, currently entering my 4th year in history at McMaster.

Since I am kind of a 'noob' to all the FPS scene, I have a question:

What is up with Clans? I don't understand them! Are they teams that compete against each other or something of the sort.

Welcome macho, it's good to see another player from the Hammer (I did my undergrad at Mac in the Arts and Science Programme and hope to get a job there after graduate school).

I can't help you too much on the clan scene. Some are just for fun while others compete in leagues such as: http://www.caleague.com/?division=tf2

some clans compete, some dont. for example, nr = competitive clan, nrm = community. its really just a group of people.
