So below in my sig (as of 6/10, 9:30pm) it shows all my stats and whatnot, and on the right side (-40, down arrow) in red.

What exactly is that?

The round I just left I was the highest scoring player on the team (over 200 points on the scoreboard), my total points went up close to 1,000 due to kills, assists, and all that..

What is the -40?

The last thing that happened to me?

I'm confused, if anything that round should have been + whatever...where does the - come from?

I see you understand my confusion in the other thread. That's either today's or your last sessions' progress. Since either the day or session before you have dropped 40pts. Congratulations, we're both confused. Or suck. One of those.

HLStatsX is serious business.

For realz. But probably what happened is that you were killing people who are much lower rank then you, so you were receiving very few points per kill. However being of a relatively high rank you were losing a huge number of points for every death. Your pace simply could not keep up with the loss.

This is why its always good to take on the stacked team instead of continuing to stack it.

TNR Teamstackers: "we just like being on the same team as our friends!"

teh stackage is teh best and teh wurst. And I don't know what's up with your hlstats thingy, though you shouldn't worry about it, we all still love you.

I find that the points thing really never works. Half of the time, it's 0 points changed for me, even though I know that I went up or down in my last session. Right now, it seems to be working alright, but you never know.

I'm just going to say that part of it is borked.

The teamstacking thing always comes up - but at the end of the day when you join the server do you look and say, "hm, this team is made up of people I have never heard of, they're losing 11-0, and the top guy has 100 less points than the top guy on the other team....I'm down for that, where do I sign up!?"

I think not.

Personally, I join teams (regardless of score) that contain people I know, and/or people I know are vocal when they play. I hate being on a team (winning or not) that doesn't talk.

I was more than a little disappointed with my stats last night. I thought I was kicking butt after a couple hours of pushing carts, sapping and stabbing but finished the evening on TNR with -192. Admittedly, my kpd hovers around 0.6 as I tend to stick to Engi, Spy 'n' Medic classes and never turtle to a fault.

It was just a bit more frustrating this time. As of recently, I couldn't get into a TNR server or didn't feel like initiating an empty server so, reluctantly, I have tried playing elsewhere. On a another server, I played two sessions on two separate days and scored +1520 and +1423. My kpd was a bit higher (0.79) but the player skill level may not have been as high as those on TNR.

I dunno. I don't play here for rank but it just seems like I'd have to practice my Soldier and Demo spamming to get anywhere in rank here. I don't claim to be el Numero Uno TF2er but I don't think my stats should drop.

Welcome to the club

It's almost impossible for me to do points on HLStatsX these days...more especially since all regular players play on Pug and not on the pub server.

We have a lot a new very good players these days that begin to play regulary on TNR. So, be ready to loose a lot of points in the stats for the next few weeks :D

In some game, I'm the first of my team and I have a kpd greater than 2. With the assists, destruction, defense, capture, etc. it's something like 5:1...but I loose pts in the stats because I play with players that are not even in the Top 1000.

Phil

P.S. If you play in the unstacked team, a kpd of 0.8-1 will gives you more pts in the stats than if you are in the stacked team with a kpd of 3...

Gosh. Again. I played for over an hour and actually finished #1 on the board with ~110 points in GoldRush and ran to check stats ... -47; dropping me three slots. Even my kpd was up to 0.78.

I sound like a whiny-pants but it's more than a little disappointing.

It depends on who you kill and who kills you. If you kill n00bs, you don't get as many points. If they kill you, you drop a lot.

The better your rank is the harder it is to go positive. That's why you barely get any points or are negative on TNR where you've played a lot. On another server you've not played on it's easy to do 1k+ while your rank is way up in the thousands.
