When: July 12, 2008 from 12 pm – 2 am

Cost: The admission is $40 a person (This includes an all day pass at Nekstlevel and the Bar-B-Q). The $40 is non-refundable so please ensure that you will able to make it as refunds will NOT be given.

The sign-up will be a first come first serve basis. Everyone has to create their own post to sign-up. No sign-ups for other members but you can pay for other members if necessary, once they have submitted their OWN sign-up. If someone is paying for you please make note of that in your post. Once you have signed up on this thread and you see your name in the list below you then need to make your $40 payment through PayPal. To make you payment please use this link (http://www.northernresistance.com/lanpay).

The deadline for payment will be 17 June, 2008 at 7pm e.s.t. If payment is not made by this date your spot will be given to the next person on the waiting list.
Your payment must also be cleared by this deadline in order to guarantee your spot. If you do not have a credit card tied to your PayPal account or tied to you bank account you might want to do a PayPal transfer from your bank account to your PayPal account prior to submitting the payment to TNR.

Once your payment is received your seat is guaranteed (you will see payment received next to your name) and you will be given access to the LAN forum section where more details about the LAN will be discussed (car pooling, tournaments, food etc).

Q&A
What if I have pre-paid and I cannot go anymore?
The $40 is non-refundable. The $40 can be converted to a server donation and you will be given a reserved slot

What are the specs of the PC's that are provided?
The specs of the machines are P4 3.2 Extremes, 1GIG RAM, 80GIG SATAII, Geforce 6600GTs or AMD3200+ with same specs.

Can I bring a friend?
For now I think it's best to make this exclusive to the people who were on the site before this thread was made. I'd like to see as many regulars there as possible. If there are still spots left, others can come.

So, I stumbled upon this forum while looking for random activities for LPBA12... I read a few posts, and then suddenly was compelled - despite the unlikeliness - to suggest we bus your entire LAN over to LPBA (enabling those who didn't yet get a seat to come out as well). I only just now realized the timeframe for your LAN is much shorter, so even if all the other issues this entails - not the least of which is that there is clearly a lot of work already put into this event - even if they could all somehow be addressed, it doesn't even seem to work with most people's schedules.

So, ultimately, I just want to wish you all a great LAN.

Is it the same weekend? I forget. (FWIW, I did look into going to LPBA12 as I live in Ottawa during the university school year.)

I was kinda hoping that the TNR community might be able to have a LAN or two in Ottawa / Kingston during the year (preferably during the uni school year, if only for my sake :lol:), so if you LPBA folks are firing up another one in the later summer or fall... That'd probably mesh pretty well? (Heck, I've never been to any LAN, but it sounds like a lot of fun.) Also note that this my own ridiculous speculation -- nothing official (though it wouldn't necessarily have to be, as I realize setting this stuff up / logistics etc. must be a bit tricky). I don't represent anything other than my own precarious and variable state of mind. And the Town of East Gwillimbury in my capacity as a children's librarian, which might explain some of my errata... :)

Thanks for the idea though. Stick around or hop on the servers -- I'm pretty sure we'd love to have you here (ironically enough, I haven't played more than an hour in about three weeks now?). Heh. Most people here appreciate suggestions and constructive stuff, and even those who get ticked when I goof and post off topic and meaningless stuff generally don't hate me too much. :lol:
