How to use the forums

I've seen lots and lots of questions about how to use certain features on the boards. More often than not, questions are answered on a case by case basis. Little did every one know, there is a entire FAQ that has been available on the forum and has been updated (i don't know if mano did it, but good job) to this specific community.

I'd like to add the multi-quote forum feature to the list of things you can do.

When you read a thread and you would like to quote more than one post in your reply, at the bottom of the post you click this icon http://www.northernresistance.com/forum/blackrazor_fire/buttons/multiquote_off.gif and it will turn into thishttp://www.northernresistance.com/forum/blackrazor_fire/buttons/multiquote_on.gifhttp://www.northernresistance.com/forum/newreply.php?do=newreply&p=82927. Once you have selected the quotes you would like to place in your post, click on the new reply button http://www.northernresistance.com/forum/blackrazor_fire/buttons/reply.gif

Note: The multi-quote feature does not work with the Quick reply box at the bottom of the thread.

Incorrect, there are some forums where creating a poll is restricted. Mainly the Server settings forum.

In order to create a poll, when you create a thread, scroll down past the submit button and you will see a windows with these options:

You check the box to add a poll and choose how many options you want to have in your poll. Once you submit your thread, you will be asked to populate the poll with the options and chose whether you want a regular poll or a public poll (where you can see who voted for what).

If you create a thread in a restricted forum, you will not see those options.
