In relation to Ajay's LAN thread, I thought I'd make a poll regarding what city, at least, we should plan the next LAN for. Note, this is NOT a sign that the next LAN is, in fact, in planning - I don't have that much power :P - just a step towards maybe starting to think about planning the next LAN :)

I will go anywhere within a 3.5 hour driving radius of London.. so anywhere from Toledo Ohio, to Peterburough is good. Ottawa is like 6 hours from here.. F THAT

This is going to be a bit unfair considering there's more people from GTA that frequent the servers than there are from Ottawa or elsewhere.

I thought Kingston would be a fairly happy medium between the two. But I voted Ottawa anyway since I live here during the year...

Anyway, it's cool if things go down in Toronto as well. No worries either way.

Problems with Kingston besides it being Kingston. Very few people live there meaning people would have to put up money for a hotel if they dont want to drive home or spend the weekend there. At least with Toronto or Ottawa there is a large number of community members that actually live there and can house people if need be for the weekend/night.
Jk can not house 50 people in his house, as much as he likes us and we him ;)

Toronto members... give it up, as much as you would like it to be, toronto is not the centre of the universe. As a former Newmarket-ian, Toronto blows. Ottawa is where all the cool members are anyways. Right Mano? Right Fab? Right Ninja? Right Mindwarp? I could go on, but don't want to embarrass every cool person.

Couldn't care less really. Distance between QC and Toronto or Ottawa is roughly the same give or take an hour, depending on how you drive of course. But my vote goes for TO just cause Nekkris lives there and can like gimme somewhere to stay for the night...hehe

Are you kidding me? Mtl to Ottawa is about 2 hours. Mtl to Toronto is 6. That's more than "give or take an hour"

you listed 4 heh, and unfortunately for the ottawaiians (lawl), the majority of the community is in/around Toronto, hence the 40-12 spread.

if Waterloo is a valid choice, then it's yes for me. I'm in MKV so I could probably just walk to Velocity if it ends up being there. btw I'm breathtakingly horrible with directions and geography, so how many hours away is Ottawa from waterloo?

Fuck 5 hours it is about 4 hours if you actually drive, I have even done it in less than that to, I don't mind the drive it doesn't bother me, and now it is even better that gas prices are down a bit, but if we do it, do it some time after christmas like say around the 28th, 29th (that way I am actually in Canada), because it might be cheaper than having it on a weekend to.
