thats the best you get to work with... have fun

Someone is selling this board and knows nothing about it and doesnt realize that there is 2 extra parts in the box.

1. A CPU
2. Two Sticks of unknown RAM

Im just trying to figure out just how much i should be willing to spend... Its a S939 board so it could even be a FX

I was thinking $100, no matter what it is I can re-sell the cpu and the ram or use it with the board im replacing if its low end.

The RAM has heatsinks so I guess this must have been part of a decent rig at least.

yea I think it might be corsair ram, and it comes with a thermaltake hsf too but I allready have a nice one and a waterblock so if theres enough cash for the parts watercooling here I come. Im looking forward to seeing what this DFI board can do

I'm pretty sure it will be a decent CPU.

It's a socket 939 board, so it won't be the latest, but at least it has pci-e

proof, check the cpu socket

I killed three of these DFI nForce4 Ultra-D boards. They clock like beasts though. Had my old X2 3800+ at 2.7 GHz on air.

I was gonna say I thought it looked like an amd heat spreader. With 2 pci x slots I would guess am2, but IDK.

Maybe if you get the guy to look at the CPU and just write down all the numbers and whatnot would be helpful?

I think the idea is that the guy selling it doesn't know what he's getting rid of.

The joke is probably on you, though, Stremes, as he probably removed the CPU and RAM before sale.

Its on ebay.... and he says everything in the picture is included.. I tried to keep it cool so he wouldnt realize that hes goin to get screwed out of some money. Im upgrading my Asus A8V Deluxe to the DFI for overclocking and SLI ready. Just bought a new BFG GTX260 core 216 to throw in as well.

whats that smell? oh yes thats the rest of your computer setting fire trying to keep up with your graphics card, which will then slow to a crawl being bogged down by everything ;p
cpu limitation +9000

Unless of course that CPU is an FX version, even then I hardly see it having any chances over the uber Core 216...

Nekkris here on the servers upgraded his 6800GS to an 8800GT, had to upgrade his processor to an Opteron 165 (Socket 939) IIRC just to make the 8800GT happy...

I like you loved these boards. I had my 3800+ Clocked to 2.6 on air and now my friend has it. Making a trip around it's 6th straight year of 2.6.

Anyways. Great board. I've had two. I would think there would be some sort of a duel core AMD.. 3800+ 4200+ etc... Socket 939 with some OCZ Memory.. No more then $100.

If it's an Ultra-D.. I think they are duel PCI-E but NOT SLI.. I modded mine and it worked.

Its true SLI, the model is SLI-DR. I think it can handle a 260, we'll see anyways. If not my eye is on a FX-72
