A is almost obsolete as a standard, N is brand fucking new and allows for alot of bandwidth... but don't play CSS on this shit, it gives your opponents a latency advantage over you.

I'm being kicked out of this room for a month; My sister is home from Holland in a week. Her room has a a wired connection and my doesn't so I'm trying to make the best of the situation.
I've also got to hook up a cycling computer to my PC via wireless so I can download my numbers (heart rate, cadence, distance, speed, time and calories burnt) after a ride. I guess I'll just spring for the N card; it's 80 bucks at canadacomputers but the link was messing up the post.

Well, if you're not transfering huge files, the only advantage to N is that it allows for variable frequencies. The issue with wireless in gaming is that it requires you to send packets out in order to recieve packets is, it also has to specificly decrypt each of these packets. With wired, when an enemy moves into your field of view, that set of packets is registered very quickly, where as with wireless,it waits for you to request packes before telling you you just got awped.

Your taking to a non-competitive (OGL-Bad) player; I won't loose sleep over an extra 2-5 ms on the ping.

my ping wasnt different, i just got random lags, like a hick up, and when i get these hickups, smokes get reset and have to re fill the area, i become unflashed
and this is shitty p5b deluxe wifi onboard wireless g/b, im sure wireless n will be way better

if you look at the protocol architecture for wireless all together, its not great for gaming, you wont get an increase in your ping chris, what you'll get is a hickup whenever you fire a shot, or are being fired at, which proves to be incredibly annoying.
