I have used the LX 500, MX1000 and G5. The G5 is the best for the money hands down.

MX 1000 is a good alternative though, but the wireless can screw you over sometimes.

I use the MX1000 too, no problems with it here. I would move to the G7, if not for the lack of 2 thumb buttons. Having had no problems with the wireless aspect, that's the reason for me against the G5 -- another cord to further clutter up my desk/get in my way.

Both myself and my brother both use the Razer DeathAdder, and are loving them, if your gunna buy a mouse and looking at a higher end one, I highly recomend this razer mouse over the others. (Yes I have used some of the other ones). Had the dimondback for about a year and a half before one the of the buttons gave out, was a great mouse but the DeathAdder's shape is so much more comfterable. I also really like the texture of the mouse as it is not plastic on top, but more of a rubbery feel so for those of you that sweat while playing will greatly enjoy this.
Yes the mouse does glow but for those of you that find that distracting you can turn it off. Also new from razer is the new drivers for Vista 64bit which I am greatly enjoying as it has allowed me to go back and modify the mouse to my own prefrence.

Overall I would highly recomend this mouse, have had it for about 2 months now and would buy it again before one of the other razer mice or the mx 518.

Here is a pic of the mouse, and more information can be found at the razer site (http://www.razerzone.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2&products_id=43).

Does anyone use the MX Revolution? I find mine cuts out a lot, leaving me running into a wall or unable to shoot...which sucks.

Yeah sharp i just bought a copperhead. My G5 is at home and we have a match tonight lol. Closest place to buy a deathadder (which i wanted, because its right-handed like the g5) was in mississauga, so i couldnt justify going PAST milton to buy a new mouse, so i bought the copperhead. Nice mouse, but i still gotta get used to it... hopefully by 8:30 tonight lol

I think my G5 is decent. It needs a mousepad to work well, only has one thumb button, and the scroll wheel isn't too hot. It's very accurate though.

logitech mx510 = awesome, but i dropped it once and it always 'hangs' in games so i now am using the;
mx400 = pretty much the same as the 510, but laser and grey.

other comp i have the mx3200 mouse/keyboard combo. cant get used to it no matter what sensitivity i change it to. hate wireless mice for games.

also have a 'microsoft laptop optical 4000' which is terrible, and a mighty mouse (bluetooth)... which is awesome but took me a month to get used to.

I have the G5 and I can honestly say my game play improved after I got it. I totally love it. I paid 59.99 on sale at a local computer chain here in London. An even better investment than my G15 keyboard (gotta love the backlit keys and vent options on the LCD). I had an MX510 prior to the G5...same feel but no comparison to game play.

I've got... mice.

Formerly a no-name Logitech thing and an Apple Mighty Mouse (which is total crap if you're a lefty, which I am) and both replaced by on-sale Logitech LX3s. They work just fine. :)
