Delete de_contra

Hey guys,

The version of de_contra has been updated on the server so it is compatible with sv_pure. If you don't delete de_contra.bsp, the next time you join the server it'll say that your version of the map differs.

Once you delete the old version, the new version will be downloaded to your PC automatically next time you connect to the server and contra is being played.

To delete the map, delete de_contra.bsp and de_contra.nav (if you have it) from this location:

C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\ACCOUNT\counter-strike source\cstrike\maps

the idea of verifying texture's is nice, but unless I'm gravely mistaken, they aren't cutting out that many hacks, cause most of the hacks use memory work-arounds, essentially letting CS load the map, but the textures get edited as they pass through memory usually to the display adapter, I'm all for sv_pure, but let's not go sucking Valves cock just yet.

is the updated version the version used by CAL, or not? just for the guys that play in CAL, so they can swap maps easily (if it matters).

I don't know if it's possible or not, but it might be a good idea to have the server spit out a message to this effect before like a minute before switching to contra or as part of the motd (if people actually read it) or something; yesterday when we switched to contra, most people dropped, and we went from about 20 to about 8 people on the server.

That's a good idea. When I get home tonight I'll include a little bit of info on the MOTD about it. I won't be able to make it so it comes up when contra is voted in though. That would be too sweet lol
