3 Problems today, happening for weeks

It seems that every time I play CSS my internet decides to pooch out on me, but when I am on the internet browser, going about I maintain good connectivity. Some days it works ok, but days like today I have a HARD time

I find this is strange, if you know what is going on, let me know please.

And I thought I had a virus for a while now, but everythings been OK besides less speed on my computer, but when I browse for certain sites (virus scanning and virus downloads like avast.com) it does not let me load it, I was wondering if you guys know what I can do?

When I play CSS sometimes I have this wierd "Xfire Exception" thing that comes up asking me to upload code, I will provide a screenshot if needed, I have uploaded it once, and it comes back, I cancelled every other time, still comes back. Is there a way you guys could help me see if I have viruses in my comp? Or should I just send it into the shop and let them fuck around with it?

If you can't load a virus scanning software, that's a good sign something is up on your machine. Do you have any software on there now? If so, is it updated to the most current definitions?

The CSS disconnection thing could be that your MTU is too high. Check your routzer

I live in Georgetown Ontario and I just found out my virus protection was deleted 4 months ago, thought it was doing auto updates, but my mother deleted it when she was trying to get avast on there, I asked her to when I went to work.

It wasnt on lol...

I know ABSOLUTELY nothing about networking, how do I change that?
