i think we could really deal with some crazy maps for the GG server. im not too sure which maps would be best, but i like when they are pretty tight quarters for GG. Makes it way more intense.

Westwood was pretty good, although as Wise mentioned people hated it because they got owned. I found when we had it on that people tended to leave the server and go elsewhere. So, i'm not soo sure Westwood would be a good map to add back to the servers.

It is one of those maps that the more you play it the more you like it. Yeah some people leave, but they do that during any given map anyways. I think with the fanbase the server has now it might be time to give it a retry.

Voting functionality isn't available to everyone in this forum in effort to keep polls official.

Keep in mind that for maps to even be considered, they need to meet the criteria (http://www.northernresistance.com/forum/faq.php?faq=smain#faq_s9). bloodarena contains guns on the ground - which is against the criteria.

Westwood was a fun map but a lot of people didn't think so. I recall multiple times where it came on when there was a full server and the server jumped to half population. Sure, people would probably like it if they tried it a couple of times but it's so easy now to just disconnect and play on a different server instead.

I agree that it's hard to find a custom map that EVERYONE will like, but there are some that most people like that don't cause the server to loose half it's population. We need more of those.

I'm all for new maps on the GunGame deathmatch server, it's just that adding new maps takes time. I surfed FPS Banana for a couple of hours on Saturday, downloaded about 10 maps and tried them out. 1 of them made it on the GG DM server. It's a lot of work. If someone is willing to test out maps for me then we'd be able to get a lot more on.

something like aztec gets voted out after the first 5 rounds and is way too CT-sided in a pub

maybe some sweet custom maps (not the lame 1 big deathmatch room ones) would be fun to try out

it would even be fun to play on the original Dust every now and then

The map cannot favor one side (such as Terrorists on de_assault or Counter-Terrorists on de_dust)

i think aztec should automatically be deleted because of that

maps like 3stories, aim_texture_palace and de_tides should be taken off the server since they are never played

i came across a cs:s version of cs_estate which would be fun to play like old times

So you want me to remove the maps that aren't played, but you want me to make it so the maps that don't get played, get played. lol

Right now the server is setup so only maps that haven't been played for the last 2 maps appear in the map vote (which is more than 30 minutes).

I'm not going to stop removing maps just because they aren't played, they are fun to play every once and a while. What I WILL remove though are maps that constantly empty the server and I think 3stories is becoming one of those maps on the regular server.

There is also the bomb shelter in the middle with about 20 palm trees and a fruit stand. I think there is a few caves and a tunnel that leads to another server playing a completely whole different game, and it's all in Chinese. You know the one...

I found these versions of bloodarena which fit the criteria:
De_Bloodarena3 (http://www.fpsbanana.com/maps/9984) - good canidate for reg pub
Dm_Bloodarena3 (http://www.fpsbanana.com/maps/9985) - great for dm, possibly pub.

I have tested both with 26 bots, no problems. The De version is ct sided to an extent, but the t side can always use smokes and rush (as they do with most maps anyways. cough *dust2*)

NO WEAPONS AT SPAWN on BOTH :D. Both are less than 500KB each. Only question now is how well the map will work with the spawning on the GG.
