I've been getting really annoyed with this, figured I'd post here to see if anyone has any idea how to fix or help.

I have a USB to PSX adapted that I use for my emulators cause the PS2 Dual Shock is a badass controller. Whenever my friend comes over to play games with me he brings his Logitech Wingman Rumblepad.

Now we can both play fine and everything, but my USB hardware controller (I assume) always makes my friend's gamepad read as player 1, so not only do I have to reconfigure all my controls for every game as player two, he also has to redo buttons to his liking. When he leaves and I'm just using the USB to PSX it bumps me bad up to player 1 and I need to reconfigure everything all over again. Is there any way to make sure my adaptor stays as P1 forever? The proffered device option in the gamepad thing in Control Panel didn't do shit.

Thanks for the help guys.

What emulator are you using 4 1?

Do either of your controllers have some sort of program that allow you to remap the keys?

All my emulators do it. ZSNES, Kawaks, MAME, Gens, ePSXe, Chankast, FCE Ultra, and Project64.

@ mano: the wingman might have a program but it's not my controller, I'll ask my buddy. All my USB to PSX adapter came with was a driver.

I'll have to maybe test this our with my extra keyboards and zsnes, brb!

yeah I know the emulators do but I was hoping for something controller side because then you could set your controller keys once and set your friends controller keys once and you wouldn't have to worry about it. Just don't have the keys conflict.

Sorry man. That's all I got. I never use that kinda shit

Buy a wingman yourself Keegz. Logitech offers one like this (http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&sku_id=0665000FS10034114&catid=14263) has dropped down to like $30 now.

Then when your buddy comes over, make sure your wingman is plugged in first. That should work ok. If not, at least you have a backup controller.

I actually used to have the exact same controller as him, but I switched it out for the ps2 controller. Its amazing for everything I do emulations wise, I even had it programed to play UT2k4 and I did pretty well with it.

I'm still having the problems, and I've yet to find anything that would help.
