I have played l4d for over 200 hours. Get l4d2, its also very good.

IT IS ZE GOOD TIMES

Paying 38$ each with the 4pack is the best way to go; it saves you a decent amount of money, relatively speaking.

In terms of gameplay, it's a lot better than L4D. Harder, too - no closet huddling strats, greater variety in pickup-ables, more varied locales, and so on. If you enjoyed L4D, I'd certainly recommend it.
