I am taking the ipod development class next semester and i would like to get an ipod touch for this class (even though you can rent one out for the duration of the semester).
I am looking for a 2nd or 3rd generation 8gig (prefer 16 but i dont care too much)

I'm guessing it's about developing apps for the ipod touch

Thank you, Captain Obvious. My question was more like a, "what is the world coming to?", since it is kind of a niche market.

It does seem like a good class to take even though it might be limited, you can still get your programs published and sell them.

it sounds pretty interesting to me. it's a pretty cool piece of hardware, and like he said, you can take your shit and sell it.

**just make sure your school (Seneca right? hilarious if you took chem classes and had my mom as a prof. she can be a hardass) doesn't get the rights to your code by virtue of you submitting it / demoing it for the sake of a course. you may want to read the fine print or discuss this with the prof or academic department, and if you feel like you actually may make something cool to sell, get it in writing. just saying.

I support you in this endeavour! I'd sell you my roommates, but that would constitute theft  if you're into the boxing day craze, you could line up and get one for cheap, perhaps. or check out one of the used / classified websites like craigslist, just make sure it's fully functional before you fork over the cash, of course. tricky business sometimes.
