I have been trying to use my mic in game for some time now but i keep getting the response that it has good quality but is not loud enough. I have tweeked options in cs (micro boot) et ceta but nothing worked. Also i even went into control panel and did the mic test (turned up to volume) but it was still not loud enough. If you have ne suggestions it would be REALYY appricated on the fact that i have no money to get a new one.
Thanks,
Sofa

These may sound stupid, but you wouldn't believe how many times people make these mistakes:
Does your mic have a volume slider on it? If so, is it turned up?
Is your mic too far from your mouth? Try adjusting it to various distances.
Do you have any third party audio software that may be interfering with your control panel settings? If so, try turning this software off, or modifying the settings.
If you have another mic, you may want to try it out, to see if it's giving you problems too. If it is, then it's probably a computer setting.

Also if you have a webcam sometimes they're stubborn and keep putting themselves as the main recording device

Webcam microphones mess up EAX settings too, even if it's not the main recording device.

i find that removing your mic from your anal cavity also increases sound quality.... and smell...

check #2, that would have been my suggestion but jeff beat me too it. It REALLY helps to have the mic closer to your mouth, especially just in sound quality in general.
