Depends what for. For gaming, no - Q8300 = 2.5GHz quad. For encoding/general
productivity, yeah.

Q8300 is roughly equal to a Q6600

Should be able to if your mobo officially supports 400 FSB (1600).
I do have a silver pen but it's at my parent's place at the moment.
